@brother_ging - Very nice set you have there. I prefer this style to your last mix.(Like it matters to you, right?) Clearly you've got skillz and a diverse crate of records (so to speak). Is your psychonoisia set still available for a listen? Also, I like your list of tools. :)

@pooter - I like your work, man. Really great live set and good stories to go with it. I said it with your last up, some of your mixing choices are very creative. I agree with brother_ging that some quick cuts might be in order. I do dig your long seques and think you might do good to try a hybrid of the two depending on what tracks you're playing. For what it's worth, I liked what you did with Thunderstruck.

Keep them coming, dudes.

I'm putting a new mix together, it is going to be a bit more underground then the previous one but i still include some wellknown tracks. in my opinion it is important to get the balance right between unknown and known tracks. this are the tracks I've planned on mixing together because they have the same sort of feel to me:

D.J. Battery Brain - 808 Volt Mix

Orgue Electroniqe - Den Bosch

Paul Hardcastle - 19

I-F - Secret Desire (Vox)

Scan X - Wasteland Prototype II (Dr. Finn & Dr. Otto Remix)

Depeche Mode - World In My Eyes (Razormaid Version)

Egyptian Lover - Computer Love (Sweet Dreams)

Legowelt - Pierre's Art Gallery

Egyptian Lover - Egypt Egypt

DMX Krew - Funky Feelin'

D.J. Battery Brain - 808 Volt Mix (Beatapella Mix)

Afrika Bambaataa & James Brown - Unity (Pt. 6 - World War III)

Bittah Kru - Six Pack

DMX Krew - Knight Ryder (Dub Mix)

Egyptian Lover - Dance Floor

David Carretta - Neuropolitics

DMX Krew - Showroom Dummies

Tobias Von Hofsten - I Love My 808

Legowelt -Swimming Pool

i probably have 10 to 15 minutes left to fill with other tracks. do you know music that would go well with it?

maybe i'll add a Frankie Bones track.. they worked quite well on the previous mix.

@Eis-T

Looks good. I wore down the wax on Egypt, Egypt back in the day.

Myabe you could try some of these classics:

Hashim - Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)

Information Society - Running (Nest Mix or Original)

The Beat Club - Security

Freestlye - It's Automatic (If you don't like the rap in this, there is an interesting dub version w/o the vocals on a CD called Trinere and Friends' Greatest Hits.)

http://www.discogs.c.../release/282859

Frankie Bones is always a winner when you need "one more track". Also, The Art of Noise and Kraftwerk worked well in your last mix (hint hint).

Get workin', yo. Looking forward to this mix.

@Pumisher - if the why is in reference to myagi, its because he has decided to release our song on a compilation cd on his record label :D

@Ben_J - i like the build ups with the use of the voices and the punchy drums. I also like where the synth goes around 3 minutes. I would just add some accompanying sounds to fill it out and set it apart from other stuff. Having said that though, i could still see myself going off to it if i were in a club :D

Thanks Jittem :) The synth is made with three layered MS-20 VSTs.

@ben_j: really like davai davai; nice fast forward track for peaktime. but i think this track could deserve some kind of breakdown in the middle (strings, vocals, piano), but anyway, bouncing track...

btw: also like "shopping"...reminds me of modeselektor.

@eis-t: your setlist sounds nice. will give it a listen. feedback later.

@satur8: if i find psychnoisa on my hd i will upload it.

keep the POST YOUR MUSIC HERE thread keep going!

Still learning, taking all of your advice. There are still a few shitty parts that I want to clean up before I give this to another bar to let them know that A. Any set of mine will get people moving better than all of their crappy DJs they have there, of which they have a number, and B. I have a bit of skill, at least.

A little trouble with the levels in some parts of the mix and one or two things I would have done differently, but for the most part this was my set on Tuesday and I felt like I rocked the house. :D A number of people told me so, in verbatim. Well, more accurately, they said, "Dude, you're tearin' it up, man."

Ha! Yes, I very much enjoyed that bit. I also really like that the last half of this set was all from things I was going with on the flow, like I -heard- in my head the Infusion going into the Chems, and then the Chems into the Groove Armada.

Hopefully it'll get you grooving as you drive. :D Certainly did for me when I drove for 8 hours today from northern to southern California. :)

FYI - I took another pass at my latest mix and fixed the few very small bits that were outstandingly jarring.

Still practicing! I'm going to send off that polished mix to another bar to woo the managers into letting me DJ there.

I actually found myself grooving to that dubstep track...

Glad the rock n roll inspired you!!
