Cool! I'm trying to upload right now, it's not working quite right. The file finishes uploading, and then:

Command:	STOR The Chemical Brothers - Electric Zoo 2010 - 03 - Dissolve.mp3
Response:	553 Could not create file.
Error:	Critical file transfer error

What's mirroring involve?

Hi Explud,

I am currently uploading the first half of the Sydney 2011 show in 720P HD. I compressed it to a divx avi, but it is still 1.34 Gb and is going to take me another 17.5 hours to upload. Is that OK to put there Explud, or do you want me to stop the upload?

im most likely failing badly since im completely noob when it comes to ftp, but the only server i can connect to is the one in the initial post, and as far as i can tell thats empty?

having said that i have no clue what to so with ftp servers in the format ftp://ftp.thechemicalbrothers.net

can anyone help?

I can't connect to ftp://ftp.thechemicalbrothers.net now anyway, but if you can, you can open a link like this in a browser and you will usually see a list of directories and/or files that you can browse through and download. You would usually need to enter a username and password when connecting.

To be able to upload to an ftp server you need an ftp client, I use CuteFTP and sometimes FileZilla. With these programs you connect to the ftp server, and then you can transfer files between your PC and the server in either direction. It does also depend on permissions, the server can have various permission settings on the directories, some let you do nothing, some let you only download, some let you download and upload etc.
