^ LOL
I could see the Flaming Lips implement something like that into their live show.

Hello.
I am going to be in LA on Honeymoon and have just found out about this concert.
Having seen them at Glastonbury a couple of times I am keen as ....
I have only been able to find tickets on ebay, can anyone fill me in on the info.
When did the tickets go on sale ?
Are they sold out?
Any other advice? It says on the Hollywood Bowl website that the acts / dates may change.
Have the Chemical Brothers confirmed that they will definately be there etc ??
Hope you can help, or point me in the direction of previous discussions if this has been discussed before.
Cheers

Sandy how cool would it be to see the Chems on your honeymoon at the Hollywood Bowl??
This show is confirmed and it will be a live set.
It's best to stay away from those tickets on ebay, they don't seem legit! Tickets have not gone on sale yet. They will be ranging from $1 to roughly $150 a head, depending on seat location.
Here is a thread worth reading:

There are already a number of us who plan on being there so there will likely be more discussion as we get closer to the date. So visit often.

Hmmm. Good question since me and the fam are thinking about getting a room of our own for the night of the show. I'm not sure about hotels nearby. I live quite a few miles south of Hollywood in Orange County, so I'm not familiar with what hotels are near the venue, or how decent they are. I messaged a friend of mine just now, so I'm waiting on what he has to say. I'll post back with any suggestions he has.
Regarding parking at the Hollywood Bowl. I heard from a few friends that it's complete and utter chaos. One friend of mine recommends parking at the LA Zoo and taking the shuttle bus over, since it drops you off right at the main entrance to the Bowl. The shuttle back to the Zoo parking apparently runs til later in the evening to accommodate concert goers.

Hollywood Bowl is a great place for shows but a Sunday for The Chems?? And the show is GUARANTEED to be over by 11:00p, because of the curfew placed by the surrounding residents. There's many more options out there where they can play until 2am, or later. Who's really going to work (especially on a Monday) after a Chemical Brothers show??

haha Hell no I'm not going to work the next day, I'm planning on taking the Monday off!
Sunday is a... well it's a different day for the Chems, I agree. I've only ever seen them play on Saturdays and it was great because I could take Sunday to recover and bask in the afterglow! But I don't think their live sets go til 2am. Some DJ sets, yes. But I don't think they'd be booked a show that would go until 2am or later, not in LA. Not with the noise ordinance laws that are in place. Chems are freakin loud, but they are professionals. I'm not sure there's a ton of noise ordinance complaint venues out there that could accommodate their shows, and turn a profit, that would allow a show until the wee hours anyway.
An 11 o'clock curfew doesn't bother me. I'm gonna see the Chems! Plus I'm old anyway. But... it's Hollywood. And for the young'uns I'm sure there's plenty of places to get up to no good after the show ends.

Actually, I think those tickets on Ebay tickets are real. From what I understand at the Hollywood Bowl you can buy tickets before the actual single day tickets go on sale, only, if you buy a season package. I do believe you can do smaller concert packages of 3 or 5 shows as well. Any who, I heard single day tickets are supposed to go on sale in May. Don't quote me on that, but thats what I heard through the Coachella forum.

I want to see the Chems. I want to see you guys. I'm worried about getting time off now. But we shall have to see. I'd be happier if it was a general admission venue so I could get tickets last minute and still be able to be at the concert with everyone else.

Holy crap... Am I finally gonna get a chance to MEET all you people at the HB in August? I'd say, it's about time, since I will BE THERE!
Only been 8 years on this forum. It had to happen eventually. *laugh*
And sadly... this will be my FIRST chem concert. Only took 15 years of listening to them. Sheesh!
