Last Saturday me and my friends all met up for a sausage roll and a film. We had been planning to watch The Room (2003) for quite some time now but haven't found the time. All that time, and all that hype makes it more likely that a film can be anticlimactic. However, this was not the case with The Room. It was so amazing and brilliant that for the days after watching it I am still on a high from the experience. Some of you would have already seen it, or at least heard about its genius so I made this thread for people who haven't had the pleasure of Tommy Wiseau's masterpiece of cinema.
Here is the trailer, but I would suggest that you don't watch the trailer and instead take my recommendation and watch the film with friends (this is the only environment it works in).
Love is all

hehe i saw a Tv report about this time ago. is this the film supposed to be the "worst ever"?
The Canal+ reporter was interviewing this guy who resembles a bit Brian May, and all of it seemed to me like another "viral campaign" PR strategy. In other words, it seemed like something very self-concious about its "awfulness".
Maybe I´ll take a look at it when I have spare time.

No, it really is that bad of a film. Unintentionally.

Indeed, but Wiseau now markets it as a 'black comedy' which it cleary isn't, sources from the set have said as much. Poor guy gets laughed at so he pretended it was intentional. He is my hero

I haven't done this iggy... because I have no friends.
*sad panda face*
Actually it's partly because my Netflix instant queue is backed up something atrocious. And I am assuming the amount of booze I am required to consume in order to make this worthwhile already makes this film out of my league, for I have no alcohol tolerance left in my old age.

No you don't need to get wasted to enjoy it, just a few beers to get a lady a little loose.
