Jeebus christ now that's just insane.
The scarey thing is, someone will come foward and pay that price for those seats. I've been having a lurk around a couple of U2 fansites and there's people on there that are already hitting up ticket brokers, shelling out $300 just for a ticket that's not even that good a seat. It's simply unreal - my first U2 concert cost me $14!

Oh.My.Gawd!
20,000 Euro? For tickets?
Well considering the popularity of the band and their live reputation, coupled with all the problems they had with the official "pre-sale" + tix selling out in minutes... I can see where people might feel desperate. It's a tough time to be a fan when it seems everyone in the world seems to be a fan as well. But 20,000 Euro? Christ, that's just a stupid amount of cash to pay for any concert!!

I know you won't like this whirly but i do think there is a lot of hype around U2 despite them being good at what they do.
I think the most i would play to see go 2 a concert would be 150ish, that would have to be a special band at a special venue for a special reason.

Like the Chems last ever gig?
I only paid 35 to see Orbital at Brixton, although with travelling and expenses that was nearer 100 8O

I dread to to think how much it cost me to go to the bugged out gig at stankeys, the drink prices were stupid and you only got them in a plastic cup.
And did anyone else get their chewing gum taken off them at the door?
I wish the chemical brothers would come and play here in Leeds, it would make it a bit cheaper of a night.
When i saw them at the Bomb in Nottingham(Jan '03) it barly cost me anything probaly less then 40 in total, incuding getting there and stuff, i stayed with friends.
