Hey I think I found out a cool trick! So like 6 times I've done this and it looks like it works:
If you come on the forum and you see a new user is a spammer and they haven't posted yet (usually says there's one hidden guest), send them a PM, I usually say don't spam, not that it matters cause it's a bot. But none the less it looks like that might fuck up the spambot application, since there is a pop-up window for PMs, that might screw up the procedure. I looked at all the ones I sent out and none of those spam-bots posted in this forum. So if you're like me and always stuck behind a computer doing work or school, try spam blocking. It's wicked good fun.

Mate , this spams are out of control.
I jsut deleted about 20 topics , i log in as Jeanie , and theres again a board FULL of spam! I think that whenever we delete the spam , the spambots see this place is still active and send more spam.
I vote for new forum. Ive been mod not for about 4 days and i think ive delete about 200 topics already. its crazy and you all should be glad theres dedicated mods , else this board would be unable to use !!!
Im frustrated.

is it me or are these spams getting more gross in regards to their pornographic title?
by the way I really suggest PMing spam bots before they post. Check the newest user and if there's a URL it's probably a spammer. I haven't seen any spam from them yet so I think it does fuck up the automatic nature of the program

Glad to hear you're on board. It works well for me since I'm in front of the PC putting out term-paper after term-paper. But I hate it when i don't get here in time to PM-bomb the spam bot. It feels like the clich scenes in police movies where they fail to stop a hostage situation or whatever and keep reliving it in their nightmares... in slow motion of course.

PEOPLE!
I really want to ask everybody that when u see a spambot registered as a new user to PM them - u can recognize them by the names and in their profile. Just say no spam or whatever. As biff said - it fucks up their settings and they don't spam. If everybody could do that it would be wicked! f youre not sure if it's a SPAMBOT u just say something like " Just checking if you are spambot! " Because we don't wanna chase new users away! THANKS!

I usually type "Spambot Brutally Fucked" in reference to some of their more tasteless topics. Kinda fun, definitly write just checkin if there's no URL in their profile. I reminds me a bit of that Nintendo game Duck Hunt, if you're not fast enough these buggers get away and post.
Also, theoretically, you can look at the member list from newest to oldest and go down the list and PM the ones that haven't posted. Sometimes the spambots post right away, other times they post a few days after registering, must be 2 different softwares...

I usually put a subject of "hi" and a body of "bot".
Hi, bot. Get the fuck out.
