Is Another World Going To Be The Next Single?

Sorry to bump an old thread but i've pretty much stopped regularing the forum.
why?
I didn't care for Further. Every song seemed too sonically deranging. Not only that, but the whole download from itunes and mp3 exclusive formats really piss me off. I look back to what the bros have made over the years, and I understand that every album has a new direction and new sound, but Further just didn't do it for me. The single "Another World" is the icing on the cake. Seriously no cd release? To be honest, the videos were kinda boring. I never thought i'd find myself bashing anything chemical brothers related, but here I am.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a "why have they made nothing good since DYOH" kind of comment. My first reaction was very good to Further. But after a couple of listens, the appeal quickly wore off on me.

Sorry to hear that, Prochem. But I think it's a pretty nice blend of everything they've done in the past and new directions. It's still "chemical" and authentic without sounding boring at all. They haven't lost their touch yet. But that's just me.

Ah i'm glad to see this didn't open up a rage fueled argument with forum noobs.
I didn't mention this before, but I do find the album enjoyable simply for what it is, I just don't find it amazing or anything like the chemical brothers.
The apple driven market is really sad to me. I am about to put out an album and looking at my options, if I wanna make any money at all, I have to go with putting it on itunes. At least cd printing is a hell of a lot cheaper to do now. It's really surprising to me that there is a 12" but no cd release. I'm sure it's been talked about a bunch in here already. I don't really care enough to go search for those threads

Not amazing? Ugh...
We love you on the forum Prochem, but you're in desperate need of a bowl of this:

No need for starting a rage. Although it is outrageous, you don't whoreship the new record
Nah, it's fine by me that you're living in Another World
It's a different album and in some aspects unlike their previous tunes. But i love it (esp. for that), and I can feel that this particular concept type of record is what they wanted to do for a long long time.
As for the footage, I really like most of 'em, because they go well with the music without outshining the songs.

Sorry that it didn't work out for you Prochem! IMO, the album is a bold step to new sounds (PTB was probably the hardest for me to grasp) and the album pushes itself more further away from the usual 'chemical' sounds that we last listened to from WATN. The album has the most mature sound than any album from their library.
Nice to hear from you again! Good luck on your album release too!

Heya I meant to jump in here sooner - been preoccupied with a few things at the moment. But man, prochem it is really great to hear form you! I agree with the positive points others have expressed about Further so there's no need for me to go there, but I wanted to say I can respect where you're coming from. As inchemwetrust had a hard time grasping Push The Button, I had my own issues grappling with Come With Us even though time (and the live experience) has softened my position. It is what it is, no rage here - and I think everyone can relate in some way to your feelings about Further. With as broad a catalog as the Chems have, there's bound to be something in there that doesn't quite gel with even the most devoted fans!
