Bittersweet Symphony's violin line was nicked from a Rolling Stones track.

Bittersweet Symphony is a good song and possibly their defining moment, but it's only as good as some of slightly less stellar songs that are on Storm In Heaven (which remains one of my favorite albums to this day). Opinion of course.

Opinions again: As for Coldplay, they sound like new U2 to me. Or, new U2 sound a hell of a lot like Coldplay. Not a good thing for me. Being a U2 fan who is not too fond of their last couple of releases, I can barely tell the 2 bands apart anymore.

PS - pop isn't always a bad thing...
