I finally understand the last track on the album Shoot Down, and why it ends so abrubtly. Liam says "our time is running out" over and over until time does run out and the track stops - quite clever now I think about it. A simular concept to how Surface to Air ends too.

There were some very great moments. How prophetic do you think Liam is after hearing Pheonix? That amazing bass wobble is becoming huge now as dubstep becomes ever more popular.
There were some songs that aren't likeable... but still can be appreciated if you just listen through the album without skipping.
I guess I really like this album because it tries to experiment, expand sounds.
Spitfire I do like. The newer edit I didn't like as much--I like it as a slow jam.
I also really liked Get Up Get Off and the alternate mix on the single. Is that weird? :D

I score the songs compared to each other.
The album as a whole, compared to the rest of my library, would score an 8.5/10. Only Exit Planet Dust deserves a 10/10.

Weirdly I always really liked this album. I do think Liam Howlett is a genius and its a pure Liam Howlett album. It was such a brave and quite original move to completely exclude 'scary' Maxim and 'mad' Keith from it. Its a very pure quite experimental album. I actually prefer it to Invaders Must Die which for some reason I'm yet to get fully into, it's trying to hard in my opinion in both its production sound and its self referencing.
