I was pretty much squashed up the front for the whole time. It was absolutely mental! Were yous guys the people going mental with the glowsticks on the speakers by any chance?! Lookin at the pictures there, I do remember seeing a few of those faces up the front.

acidballoon, it would be great if you could post some more when the mood strikes you and you're feeling less inhibited. And Diamond Geezer and Chemical Pilot, was there any doubt the forum crazies were cool people?
chemicalfan, no loved up goodness to share with us? ;)
Glad to see these reviews and pics turning up and bringing new people out of the wood work. Keep it coming!! Keep it coming!!

i remember lucy's mate taking loads of pics as well, i hope he puts them online :)
well ive had a lasagne and salad and stayed in bed all day, so im kind of almost normal and fully refreshed.
i think that the set tom n ed played was one of the best dj sets theyve ever done! im not just sayin that either, it was really fuckin good. lots of fresh tackle, lots of booties and edits and the flow of the set was just rippin.
opening with music:response was just a stroke of genius - the place erupted!
other musical highlights, that los ninos tune into their edit of shreikback my spine is the baseline, all the ebw's they played, the dont fight it feel it bootie, sweet dreams, that 10 min percussion record that jjust gets crazier and crazier, fuck knows what it is but its awesome, audion mouth to mouth - feel the honky synths, oh yes. and the live version of hold tight london! 8O how fuckin good was that!! feel the rush!
ebw 9 sounds SO fuckin sleazy on a big system - proper basement music, u get that cheeky mwhahah grin on and have to wiggle like a bastard.
but for me the musical highlight was def ebw 8 - sooooooo good. when those drum rolls hit it was just fuckin chaos. absolute chaos. 'going off' is too weak a term, it was insane, just completely insane.
was lovely to see u all again - heres to next year aye!! ;) :D
there is one tune i need to know what it was though - they played it about 15 mins after midnight, and its kind of a heavy housey'ish detroity groove, and its just beats and a subby bassline then like a high pitched building synth string sound comes in, and it goes on for aaaages, then theres some detroity keys and poss a bit of sax and its all very derrick may - they played it at glasto last year right near the start of the set, and would love to know waht it is - anyone any ideas???

damn, im so frickin jealous. I gotsta see the Chems on NYE and meet all you great people!
I think Rynostar has got it down people. Us non-european based people need to make it a goal to getting to Turnmills all at the same time, so we all can join the fun!

Next year. Next year.
Amazingly it sounds like this NYE even topped last years at Turnmills. A feat which I wouldn't have thought possible, but those crazy Chems just keep finding ways to amaze.

This is a good idea. A biiiig international meet up. I am definitely up for making the trip out from Australia for 07/08 NYE. I was meant to be there this time but factors in my life went to shit after September and I had to stay here. It was obviously special this nye with the new album due, tour, and EBW8/9, but well that's life ffs.
Thanks so much for the pics and reviews, I look forward to more. Just loved reading Jeanies! Mint time indeed. :D :D :D This year. This year! ;-)
