Okay, GREAT fucking story behind this mix.

Some guy came up, requested The Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch up," and I mixed it in perfectly with the Leftfield I had going.

When I hit the part where I was mixing in ACDC's "Thunderstruck" with the Cirez D, a drunk chick wandered into the booth and started -begging- me for some MDMA.

Afterward, some guy who heard my set bought me pizza.

I had more than 2 hours behind the decks, as it were, but I only included the first hour because there weren't very many people in the bar and I was taking requests, which didn't lend itself to a proper set. But I thought the first hour was great. :D

good luck with the dating inchem. put her through the test. you might be wondering what i mean by the 'test'. Well overwhelm this girl (once you've got past the first few dates) about your love for the chemical bros. Hopefully she will end up getting into them (if she doesnt allready) and then you can get laid whilst listening to your favourite tracks. I managed to get my gf to fall in love with the chemies and she used to be a mad chromeo fan ><. It's totally worth it man :P

So, I had a GREAT set last night. Highlights included dropping the rip of The Twelve's remix of Radiohead's Reckoner from their Essential Mix, laying down Groove Armada's Superstylin' into The Chemical Brothers' Believe, and laying in a number of tracks which people requested successfully, in tune, and on time.

Then for some reason my laptop decides to start fucking up. >:-( I don't know if Ableton demanded too much of it by recording a two hour session with forty tracks laying into one another, but whatever the case was, at one point the music would stop for a full second or two as I dropped another track in. Angry. Not only because there was this really awkward moment where I had to stop the set, turn off record and fuck around a bit to see if I could actually keep playing, but also I managed to somehow screw up the recording I had already done. Bah.

I'm going to try to put together something for people to listen to today at some point. Maybe after I fill out this Census form...

realised i haven't posted here in awhile, other crap stuff has got in the way like work & lectures and general no free time for a life.

My mom got diagnosed with cancer the week before christmas currently in hospital for treatment so have had that to deal with as well.

just curious...
