get your collective asses to a movie theater and see 'A Scanner Darkly' as soon as humanly possible.
brilliant, really brilliant.
It really odd seeing places around where you live animated.
As soon as a saw the trailer for this movie i knew you were gonna love it stash!
Yeah, it was really cool to watch, odd disturbing story by Philip K. Dick, amusing tweaked out drug talk, a good ride overall. My favorite part of the film was the animation which is a treat for the eyes (yet disorienting at the same time.) I was expecting that since it's the same animation as the movie Waking Life.
We also saw a preview for a new Michel Gondry flick called the Science of Sleep. We'll be making the trip out to see that one when it comes.

A Scanner Darkly is definetly shaping up to be one of those must-see films. Break ye olde wallet out of mothballs for this one, I think.

My son decided yesterday that he did not want to name his turtles Mario and Luigi (which was my suggestion because of my son's love of everything Mario Bros).
It also turns out that one turtle, the shy one finally stuck it's entire neck out at me and it's not a red eared slider like the other turtle.
Yesterday he was telling his grandparents and great grandma about his 2 turtles he proudly presented as... Tom and Ed. And no, neither me nor stash had anything to do with the startling new development. So I asked him, "well, which one is Tom and which is Ed?" and he says, "Ed's the one with the red ears who always comes out to play, and Tom's the shy one who won't eat when anyone's looking."
btw, Tom and Ed are both girl turtles.

How long is it supposed to be before Jesus comes back?
we expect him to return around 4:30pm, PDT, today.
Jesus should have left a date saying when he would come back...
He have some serious problems to solve in the middle east and the begining of WWIII,my prediction: will last 4 hours. Then the world will be a giant glass parking lot! Yay no more looking for parking.

Really, a nuclear war in the mideast would only be good for the world, in the long run. The sweeping cloud of fallout over india and southeast asia would lead to massive cancer epidemics, which in turn would help cut the global population, which is desperately needed, and the elimination of 90% of the worlds oil would mean we'd be able to stop global warming in it's tracks.
yep, a little nuclear war would go a long way to making the world a better place.

nah man, it won't come to that. Unless Russia and China seriously want to get into it with the United States, there won't be anything more than a limited nuclear exchange.

Obviously I would like to see a solution where as few people are hurt or killed as possible, but all sides seem to treat the issue as a zero-sum problem.
Let's just hope that if a few eggs are broken, we get one hell of a good omelette in the end.... I guess....

We are both sick over what (sanitized) news we are receiving on this whole mess otherwise known as 'humanity'.
For me, thank God for John Stewart and the Daily Show. Without a humorous perspective, it would be too much at the end of my day. But I find it worrying when John Stewart has had nothing funny to say so far about what's happening in the Middle East...

Looks like a relatively chill night of gelati and beers with the guys, maybe shoot some pool or something.
Tomorrow's all set to go to the beach. Prospect of thundershowers, but I hope the amazing weather of the past two weeks holds up.
Still feel like poo with this wicked cold I've acquired (ducked out of work early today). Head feels a little swimmy, like my brain is in a bowl of Jello. Could use more DXM right now, truth be told, but I've only got with acetaminophen and it's not time for another dose for at least another two or three hours.
Ah yes, there's the phone now. Outbound. Peeps out.

Keep cool, man! The DXM doesn't really alleviate many of the symptoms, but when your head's all swimmy, the DXM packs a nifty Buzzed Posting worthy trip. See you there in a few! ;)
