Yes kids it's finally confirmed! The Chem's will play the festival in March! Only Melbourne and Sydney line ups so far but I have a feeling they will tour all over. So watch this space Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide!!

From: http://www.inthemix....lineup_revealed

After months of rumours and speculation that’s seen some of dance music’s most revered names thrown around as possibilities, we can finally reveal the lineup of artists we’ll be seeing at the Future Music Festival in Sydney and Melbourne next year!

At the top of the bill is The Chemical Brothers, who’ll be bringing their spectacular live show back to Australia. We already knew they’d be in the country in March for solo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, so there was heavy speculation HERE they’d also be making an appearance on the Future Music Festival tour. Partygoers can now look forward to seeing their spectacular new live show that was debuted at Glastonbury earlier this year.

Next in line is none other than John Digweed. While some will be upset he won’t be joined by his DJ cohort Sasha as was speculated HERE, he’ll be touring off the back of what’s been a massively successful 12 months for the veteran DJ. He released the third installment of his Transitions series of CDs to critical acclaim and he’s been whipping music fans into a frenzy over a special ‘Warehouse Project’ live set that’s been circulating around the web, recorded in Sheffield earlier this year (check out the forum discussion HERE).

Germany’s Sven Vath will be returning to Australia for the first time in four years, and it was only two weeks ago that ITM revealed HERE that both Eddie Halliwell and Marcus Schultz were hotly tipped for the festival, along with house music’s hottest Roger Sanchez. The latter will be joined by rising Dutch DJ/producer Laidback Luke, who recently starred alongside Sanchez on mixing duties for the Afterdark Volume 3 compilation (check out the ITM review HERE).

Beyond the big names, there’s more variety than ever before on this year’s Future Music Festival lineup. Tech-funk’s finest Elite Force will be present along with Baile funk DJ/producer Diplo, American MC Aesop Rock will be representing the hip hop alongside Kid Koala and DJ Yoda, while names like Robbie Rivera and Mark Knight will ensure that house fans are more than satisfied.

Sound like a lineup to die for? Tickets are on sale 9am Monday 10th December, check below for the full list of performers we’ll be catching when Future Music Festival legs it across the nation this March…

Sorry to whinge, but why the hell did they just announce Syd Mel? This makes waiting torture. Surely they are not going to just play 2 shows each in Syd & Mel come on guys put us in Brisbane out of our misery! Please. (lol as if they read here).

But seriously, why not announce Australia wide shows and seriously, what are the chances of the line up coming minus the Brothers to the other 3 cities. Please Future announce FMF soon with CB's.

Please.

Consumer-

I urge you to go to all of the gigs in Auzi land (not to forget to mention the NZ one too! :P). As long as it isn't putting too much of a strain on your back pocket (or where ever you store your money), try and make every single one.

The best decision I made was to catch the two additional California shows after the show in Chicago. That whole week changed my life!

P.S. - I hate to be greedy, but I should have gone to the Denver show too! :P

You all in Australia are in for some goodness - you guys have waited and your time is coming. It's so cool some of you Australians are getting some gig choices. Would be wicked Consumer if you can manage to get to each gig.

Well..if all goes well with my visa application this weekend...I WILL BE GOING TO THIS!!! Woohoo!

My chum got us tix last week and I am now planning on flying a week early to what my original plan was and arriving in Syd on Friday March 7th at 7amish...staying up ALL Day (after a 21 hour flight!!!) then hitting the Sydney Entertainment Centre on an 'acquired' ticket courtesy of good ol' gumtree hopefully to catch the show then off to the racecourse the next day for my next batch of Chems action!

I thought Brixton would be my last chance in a while but when I got the text at 4am 2 days ago saying I had tix...I thought why the hell not...squeeze in TWO final Chems show after an ace 2007!!!

(And there is still the crazy possibility that I may be flying back to Blighty JUST for the Olympia show...I have my tix for it!)

Aussies + The Chems = a very good time indeedy!

Ok so it looks like a friend of mine won the ITM competition for Chemical Brothers, winning a hotel room next to the venue for the night, a copy of all the albums and tickets. Thats for Sydney, which im flying down from Brisbane for. I'll probably do FMF the next day and of course im seeing them in my hometown Brisbane at FMF. That should give me a festival show and a solo show. Nice!

It's hard to justify flying around to see them, my partner reminds me our Europe trip is not long after these gigs and my bandmate reminds me we have new singles coming out ourselves and should be spending up on promo but seriously... its Chemical Brothers.
