HOW friggin cool is this song? seriously, ive never heard it :(
It's on the US (domestic) release of the Galvanize single. And it should be available just about anywhere.
I think you'd really dig it. It's got some evil rumbling percussion, some great acid sounds, and it's got that cool distorted sample that almost sounds like satan coming out of your speakers.

Heard them play EBW7 at their superb set at T in the Park last year, and it blew the tent away. I am so hoping they will make a re appearence this year and play some tunes off PTB.
PS I was just wanting to know if anyone could tell me how many tunes are in the Electronic Battle Weapon series, and are any of them dead decent? Cheers.

For more info like pictures and exactly what EBW's are, check out: http://www.planet-dust.net/disco.htm

I've always had mixed feelings about EBWs, I haven't heard the earlier ones until recently, and when you know the tunes from the album, you cannot relaly judge them by themselves, but, well, I have the last two on 12'' (although I haven't had much chance to listen to acid children because of technical problems with my mixer), and, well, I feel they are kind of lazy.
I mean, I do not feel like dissing (is this the right word? I'm French, remember...) the Bro's, or being negative, but when you listen to the masterpieces on their albums, EBWs (esp.the last two) just feel like 16 bars loops layered one after another, I think it lacks the whole structure work they really master like no one else : building anticipation tension and release. But hey, it is on purpose, it is meant to be played by DJs, not to be listen in your living room...

Point taken about the EBW's, TryptaJunk. I do like the idea of these Electronic Battle Weapons - good for getting the word out, good for collectors!
Though I don't necessarily find EBW's lazy - rather, my take on Electronic Battle Weapons is that they are sort of works-in-progress, like a song in the evolutionary process. They have that rawness, and structure wise they are very loose in comparison to the tightness of the final cuts that make it to the albums. And since they are promotional tools geared toward dj's working the decks and the dancefloor - the loose style of the EBW's allow for more ease when mixing into other tunes. Well, at least that's what I gather from what I've read. I know fuck all about djing!!
