hello guys,

I've been away from the forum for ages, mainly because since the 'push the button' tour has ended, there is not much happening around anyway.

To kill the boredom I want to ask you guys a question regarding supposed issues the Chems have had with the 80's popstar Boy George.

I enjoy reading a lot of the interviews that Chems have done over the last few years and over time i have come up with at least three different interviews where the author mentions that The Chemical Brothers have upset Boy George somehow - even making him call them the "cunt brothers"

This is a section of one of those interviews they did at the beggining of last year for the 'Guardian' -http://arts.guardian...yreview/story/0,,735102,00.html

The only people Simons and Rowlands seem to have upset during their career are Boy George (who demonstrated his grasp of the Wildean bon mot by dubbing them "the cunt brothers") and a crowd at Ibiza's Space club, who were reduced to tears by a Chemicals DJ set.

I've never heard of Chems being responsible for upseting any other artist, so this seems a bit strange. I've tried to do the research on the net, but there is absolutely nothing regarding this subject of Boy George.

So do any of you guys know or have ever heard anything about this?

I wonder why they have it in the studio, maybe its there as a joke regarding the dispute boy george has with them.

In interviews with other artists most of them when talking about the chems say what nice guys they are and how down to earth they are, must say I agree. Nic Fancuilli last week said to me he had alot of respect for Ed and Tom. But im sure Boy George is the one with the problem not the chems. Anyone know what hes like as a dj?

Heh, if Tom and Ed really do have a signed "Cunt Brothers" Boy George pic... hahaha! Good sense of humor.

I remember reading the whole cunt bros thing too a while back but could not find out the reason behind the name calling. Who knows. Maybe the whole thing's a joke. Maybe an inside joke. And it's not their style to publically slam other artists though I'm sure they have their own private opinions!

And good call kwiddle about the girlie-fit! teehee.

As for Boy George, I heard he's not a bad dj at all but I haven't heard with my own ears so I don't know.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

:) at the pic in the studio. The gods of fun!

That's actually how that stupid stoner laugh ended up on Piku. ;)

Thanks Mr Mr George.
