Cool pictures!! 8) Thanks so much for posting these.
Great one of Ed looking right at ya! I had to do a double take for Tom, I skimmed right over him at first - I swear it would be difficult for me to spot these 2 in a crowd, they just blend right in!
It's the glasses ;-)

werchter was amazing. Chemical brothers were mind blowing.. Hawaiian Mushrooms from Magic Valley in amsterdam made it a true visual experince. The rain was nuts. it kinda added to the intensity of the show it was awesome when he went all crazy on that one knob makin all those tweaked out sounds for a wile i was like ahhhhhhhhh beeeess did he say somthing about badgers or phesents? Did anybody else check out seul wiiliams? he was allright not to good not to bad i had fun thoug> Kratwork was crazy. i really reccomend somthing to alter you mind for the cb's it made it like i was lost inside a chemical brothers acid trip cartoon comic book at a midnight dance club in downtown tokyo with lots of strobe lights and scarry pictures 8O

I was poking around a depeche mode forum and saw some talk about New Order (this was some time ago) and a few people mentioned the Chemical Brothers' set at Rock Werchter, and what was said there was a really cool experience with a really great vibe despite the rain.
Don't know if they were loaded at the time but they had good things to say about the Chems. ;)
As far as taking mind altering substances for the Chems shows, I think it depends on the person and how open and comfortable they are to the exerience of taking drugs - lots of people may feel comfortable doing that stuff in a familiar environment but may be prone to freaking out in a bad way in public places that aren't as familiar. Some people don't want to do anything at all and just want to let the music get them high, and for them that's good enough. I love a good crowd as long as everyone's enjoying the show and giving a good response and loving thy neighbor and all that happy stuff that Chems shows are (or at least should be) made of!
As for me, well, I'd be lying if I said I was a completely good girl with nothing other than my own blood flowing through my veins. I've fucked with my mind a couple of times when witnessing the Chems but it's been mellow and controlled - I'd never want to put myself in a position where I couldn't handle myself and have everything ruined on my account of... well, you get the picture. I've had a brilliant time each time I've seen the Chems do their thing live or djing. I can honestly say that the music is the most important part of the trip, hands down. At the end of the day once the trip's worn off you have the music and the memory - that's the beauty of the live show.
By the way, welcome to the board - I hope you stick around! :)

Very true. I would have been off and flying at Coachella without chemical assistance (although chemical assistance certainly did enhance Chemical awesomeness). I'm so glad that my memories are crystal clear of that night, because they will stay with me forever.
