yes, there's a good one in cologne-deutz, next to the statio cologne-deutz (250 meters away or so). about 20 euros per person incl. breakfast.
do you want to meet up? i think, nerdy and probably c-row, csar and some others from here might be there as well...

PRODIGY WAS AWSOME!!!!!!! I had muscle pains all over from jumping and headbanging etc.
What's up with you being NY?? It's the Chems!! Come on!!
Hey Boy: yeah sure we can meet up. I'll be in Cologne on friday evening. Do you have a name of that hostel? Is the station Cologne-deutz far from the city-centre and the paladium?

the name of that hostel is "Jugendherberge Kln-Deutz" or something like that. kln-deutz station is a kilometer away from main station / city centre, just opposite, on the other side of river Rhine. 10 mins walk or few mins with regional train - 10 mins with tram/underground. from city centre to palladium it may take 15 mins. underground line number 13, 17, 18 or 19 (don't know which one is going from main station) to wiener platz first and then change to line 4 and get off at keupstrasse. from there: 10- to 15-mins walk, depends on how fast u are. get off, next street right and then next left, follow that street until the end (incl. a right-turn), u'll have the e-werk on the left then and opposite, right-hand, the palladium. for more details and map: www.palladium-koeln.de.
for more info feel free to ask or PM :D
doors will open 7pm. might be there by 6 already. might be comin by tram or my own car, don't know yet, depends if my girl's comin with me. i am easy to recognize: a little more than 2 meters tall. that's me :D

Boiler room, three rows from the front, smack in the centre, covered in other peoples sweat, sober and having the best, most extended, moment of my life. Yes that?s right, that was what it was like for myself at the New Zealand Big Day Out 05. "The Brothers" had returned to our shores. Love was in front of us all - two soul chef's dishing up a ten course degustation of delectable ear candy and emotional satisfaction. These two had replaced adhocism with precision. New Zealand (I) was owned!
The emotion, plastered like paint, on every one of the faces in the crowd was nothing short of insane. It must have been amazing for them to see this. There was just an enthralled mass of people begging for the moment to never end. There were two, rather minute, AV screens placed either side of the 'opulent' decks and I tell you what ? those audiovisuals had me guessing. But then, wait for it, the two screens drifted into the background as this GARGANTUAN backdrop opened up and?.the images? the visuals?the sound?.the feelings?inexplainable with words, invaded everyone?s conscious (unconscious) mind?.and that was only the first two minutes!!!
What followed was another one of their infamous live shows that pushed a few peoples buttons and helped others code their own. I recall one avid crowd sweater ask me (in downtime before the encore) ?So you having a good time?? my response ?Of course I am! I?m amongst family!?.
These two brothers are audacious, provocative and essential in this day and age and I am one, of many I?m sure, who are glad they have continued to carry on their pioneering ways and bring their expertise to the ears of the mass listener. May the reverberation of their minds continue to be heard for many more decades. Yes boys - Love is All!!
