As far as I'm concerned I prefer those who give to charities and show off rather than those who don't give at all. I don't get your point guys... I mean, the money goes to the good hands. I'm glad they have something to receive off it, otherwise they probably would have gave anything. I wish everyone had something to take in exchange of such an act, there would be more donations.
Giving to charities isn't a crime, you don't need to hide it. Even if it curiously happens when you've just released a new album/movie...
Yes, they are wankers. We're all wankers. Get through this.

u see, i give money to charity myself. but i am not doing this to be somehow cool or whatever. people, who ONLY give money to charity for coolness- or style-reasons suck. they are the wankers. those people would never give any money if there wasn't something they received for the money :x

yeah but u see all the haters are just making judgement calls against people you don't really know. maybe there thinking 'yeh, i can give some money to charity and at the same time get this funky wristband. cool!'
i guess it depends as to how much weight you give to either side of that statement. whether your donating money to charity because u believe in it, or whether your donating money to charity to look cool.
personally i have more faith in human nature and guess the majority of people fall into the first category.
but at the end of the day if people are doing it to look cool, then fuck it, its not hurting you and charities make more money.
nice.
winners all round!

Good point, mipps!
I think it just depends on the person - I think some people might choose to advertise their pet charities by wearing one of those bracelets so they can feel some sort of kinship with a common stranger on the street they see wearing the same thing. My brother used to wear a Livestrong bracelet because he worked with someone who had cancer - the whole office wore them in solidarity. Like I said I don't like to wear charities on my sleeve but that's just me. For what it's worth, at the end of the day at least people are doing something to make this world a better place.

still believe that people who just give to charity to be cool and not because they want to so something good are a wankers. they don't really care where the money goes because it is their interests mostly, why they donate. when the children from my groups bought their wristbands they did not even know where the money for those bands went to... :x
