gunna have to see them again some other time and see ALL the show, they r pricks they shld do l8 trains
Who are? :?
Really enjoyed last night's show, went on my own but still enjoyed it. Thought The Infadels were awesome, loads of energy. I still wonder how the bloke behind the keyboards managed to play that and bang a dustbin lid at the same time!!
I thought the Chems were noisier than in March but they were still awesome. The crowd were awesome once again, although there were people a few rows in front of me who were sat down the whole time!! 8O
I've been to see them twice now, Hold Tight London, EBW7 and Hey boy hey girl are my favourite tracks. Saying that its all been good!!
Cheers once again Tom n Ed, nobody does it like the brothers!!!!!!!

But anyway, thanks everyone so far, it's really cool to read such positive reviews of this gig (as well as the sauna gig). 8) Hard to imagine but it seems like their shows just keep getting better and better on this tour! It's very interesting to read that they've juggled around with their set list a little bit - keeps things interesting and fresh.

I was worried it wasn't going to be as good their tour - how wrong I was!! I actually preferred last night's gig to the one they did in March!!

Hell yes, last night's show was even better than the March one. I was right up at the barrier this time too, almost within touching distance of Tom and Ed when they embraced at the end (The Chi would have loved it :)). And boy, didn't they crank up the volume this time? :D
They were on for just under two hours, Tom and Ed like to play a decent set. I saw them earlier in the week in Brighton too, which was another superb gig. You do get slight variations between gigs, for example the version of Get Yourself High was different from previous gigs (but sadly without the thunderous bass of their usual version). They seemed to have trouble with one of their sequencers at one point too - did you notice the frenetic signalling to the mixing desk and Tom bashing the machine in frustration before they left the stage for a few minutes?
I've seen the Chems play live three times this year now - and every single gig has been spectacular. Thanks once again Tom and Ed for bringing dance music to new levels. See you on the Glint stage at Glasto. 8)

Tyler, good to see you back!
Thanks, I've missed the forum too. :)
How was the Coachella set? I guess they wouldn't do a full two-hour set at a festival, so were there any serious omissions?
Oh, I've gotta echo what people have been saying about the support act, The Infadels. The best support act I've seen this year, by a long chalk. I'll be checking them out in the future.

I don't arrange train times though, this is done by a bunch of cunts called the SRA in London who either don't have a clue about railways in the north or don't give a shit (or both). Arranging train times to coincide with music events requires common sense, which is not prevelent in the rail industry at the moment.
Anyway, I'll tell you how I got home. After my mate dropped out at 9am on Saturday morning, I used the train. Getting there was pretty straightforward, however getting back wasn't. Normally a train leaves Piccadilly station at 1:47am, yes its a long wait but doesn't bother me too much. But engineering work was taking place, so the train was replaced by a coach. The coach for Huddersfield, Leeds and York rolled up outside the station at bang on 1:47 with people already on from Manchester Airport. There were loads of people trying to get on but not enough seats on the coach. So it left, leaving many of us standing on the pavement. There was one bloke trying to organise everything, and was getting frustrated as most people waiting were pissed.
10 minutes later another one turned up, Most of us, including myself and a couple of people who I saw at the gig managed to get on. Several were standing though, so the one beleagured train staff had to shout at them to get them off (dunno how they got home). An hour, 45 mins and 1 Magical Mystery Tour around Huddersfield later we arrived at Leeds Station. Got to my house by taxi around 4am.
So there you go Hixy. Aren't trains great??
Passenger: "Are the trains running normally on Bank Holiday weekend?"
My colleague: "Yep, normally late, normally cancelled or normally on time" :P.

Tyler, Coachella was awesome! We got almost an hour and a half long set - I knew I would get a quality set no matter what but I did have concerns that the show was going to be truncated. But it seems the Chems, bless 'em, really crammed as much as they could to deliver such a blinding and memorable set. I still can't believe I beared witness to such a great show, and I can't believe it's been a month already! I still talk about it with anyone who's willing to listen to me babble! ;) Honestly, I have never experienced a show like the one on April 30. Everything about it - the set list, the visuals, the sound, Tom & Ed looking so happy and being completely and totally into it, being close to the front, and the overall community that was going on in the crowd where for an hour and a half we were dancing with our newest friends who were only strangers up until the Chems came on... It's what I'd hoped and dreamed for, and I got so much out of it! Really an experience like no other, and I know it sounds cheesy but there was an overwhelming amount of love that engulfed the tent. Incredible!!!

I sooooooooo wish I was there with you, stash and the others. :(
Once festie season is over, I'm planning on quitting this shitty job where I can't get time off when I want it and reclaim my life. If the Chems announce some US dates fare enough in advance, I'd love to hook up with some US fans and go see them again. They really are something else on this tour, aren't they?

I don't know what's going on with more dates for the US - I think the Astralwerks newsletter has ditched the "look for more dates coming this summer" to something along the lines of "will be back before the end of the year."
Either way, I need to feel like I did on April 30 again. I don't mean to sound greedy, I know I'm fortunate and blessed to have seen them once this tour - but their shows are the perfect escape and a good excuse for me to get out of my rut!!
