I went back and listened to the tracks that I have never heard on that list. I never recognized the Groove La Chorde track. Liking
it now though.

Voted EBW8.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know every track on there. Love Groove La Chorde, new to me too!

The fact that you can dance to a track doesn't make it a dance track.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
And I will rape

What a question !
Saturate 1/2 dance, 1/2 break ?
Tom & Ed breaks the walls

I can dance to drum'n'bass, that doesn't make drum'n'bass "dance music"

Hm. I think these are 8 minutes of repetitive boredom. There are one or two ok-ish elements and that's it. Ok in a club environment maybe. It's one of those tracks, that don't really bother you on the dancefloor but also don't really do something special at the same time. Gap filler.
E(argasm) = m(usic) x c(hemicals)²

So, can a pop song be considered a dance track too then? And what would these guys say?

E(argasm) = m(usic) x c(hemicals)²

i voted Josh Wink - Higher State of Consciousness
it's better than either chems tune on that list,

or at least more of a 'classic'

Brave post. On one hand, I see your rationale when considering the ultimate dance track of the last 20 years. It was groundbreaking, underground, popular, influencial and highly sampled. Our very own Brothers used it as a tool. On the other hand...C'MON DUDE, ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

I gave my vote to HBHG becasue I think the Chemical Brothers are grossly under-rated and have shown consistantly talented work over that 20 year span, moreso than any of the others. They get my vote.
Gonna work it out...

HBHG is just a massive anthem that still works and makes the crowd go wild all over. I still love it in exactly the same way I've loved it when listenign to it first back in 99. It is just BIG. It is probably the BIGGEST.

Saturate is a dance track, I don't think T&E have put it out (especially on EBW, vinyl only, for club plays) for any other reason. What would eddychemical say?
love is all.

Voted for HBHG  .

I was expecting there to be many dance tracks I can't stand (like My My My by Armand Van Helden or something) but I could only see one, the Thin White Duke remix of What Else is There? In that respect I think it's a good list although there are a couple I would class as being on the more chilled-out side of things - the Air and Massive Attack tracks (as good as they are).

No way, the best "What Else Is There ?" remix is Vitalic's one, which is ∞ times better than any other remix in existence :

Roses are red
Violets are blue
And I will rape
