I very much doubt they'll re-form as Orbital - they sold most of their gear just after the split. They kept some and divided it up, but the rest they sold on auction.

From what I've seen of what was auctioned, it was all fairly peripheral stuff, not their core kit by any means. A lot of the visuals stuff is gone for good though.

Anyway, let's get back to the Chems.

The chat on the Australian website wasn't very well organised, most of us couldn't get on it. They're promising a transcript but it still isn't showing up there as yet.

Joslyn, it finished nearly five hours ago. It was only half an hour, most people couldn't get into the chatroom and questions were being put through a moderator. We've been promised a transcript but it's not showing up there yet.

I reckon if orbital come back it will be in about 5 years. Maybe there do an album and tour, they did say its not impossible.

I expect they have kept all there samples and sounds stored somewhere that can be reprogrammed back into any new gear they could get for any gigs to replace the stuff they sold.

Faithless are ok live but nothing compared to chems. I think there be missed a bit but there not making breaking new music so i dont think them going will affect dance music much.

Joslyn, it was soooooo frustrating!!! Most of us ended up in another chatroom with the chatroom regulars wondering who the hell we were, trying to figure out what was going on. They were pretty damn cool people, relaying questions for wayno. But still, it was annoying as hell trying to log onto the Chems chat. When it was all over it was after midnight where I am, and I was wide awake with pissed-offedness!!

It would've been cool if it were really a live chat, no mods doing the screening (course I can understand why!) everything in real time. I have no problem with joining in conversation, being all chatty. But when it comes to asking questions straight up with no conversation to break the ice first, I find that really hard. I freeze up and my brain's way too preoccupied with trying to ask something that's never been asked before. It drives me crazy!

My husband wanted to ask Ed what his favorite sandwich was though! X-D
