2.guy wouldn't respond/ deleted account
3. really fu(kin angry because i've been watching ebay closley for months trying to find this cd(golden path japancds) and finally found it but then this happened.
So i contactd ebay and they gave me the guys number but when i phoned he said to get lost and that he never had an account.

DISCLAIMER (hahaha): Nothing contained within this post should be construed as legal advice. All of the information contained within this post can be found on eBay's website.
Read up on eBay's Rules and inform yourself of their policies--I can't stress this enough.

The first thing you should do is check up on the seller's previous auctions. Did he have negative feedback from before? How many other people has he ripped off?
If many other eBay users have had problems with the guy, then it would have been up to eBay to suspend his account.
Those are just my thoughts for now--hope it helps. Let us know how it turns out, and the best of luck with this. You have my sympathy, amigo.

I use ebay all of the time so maybe i could help (maybe not).
If you paid with paypal, you can probably get a refund, they insure up to like $500 sales.
If you paid check or whatever, fuch it, just put that guy's email on every contest for you see, they give those numbers to telemarketers, his phone will be off da hook. Either way you have my sympathies. I bought a t-shirt for the band VAST and they had a major fuck up and lost all the data and kept the money and removed contact info, so now I download their albums and am still working it out...

Man, that sucks really hard. Burnt by ebay - I remember a couple years ago there were a few people here that got burned with fake copies of albums/records and it's so sad to hear about good money wasted down the drain. I work for an internet auction site which unfortunately has very little music stuff (unless you like used cd's without the sleeves that were confiscated out of cars/garages/homes/wherever cops wind up when busting someone) We have a lot of customers who got burned by ebay so these folks fleed to us or bidz.com and the multitudes of other sites out there.
ebay *has* gotten better with quality control per se, but the problem with ebay is that it is not micromanaged the same way a store or site or whatever is, it's simply too big, and there should be more accountability and the atmosphere is very much caveat emptor - then you get these fucks on there that take the money and run and people end up throwing good money after bad. The people that do this are thieves, period. Top that with not being able to get much customer service through e-commerce and you're left with no choice but to take vigilante tactics (such as Biff suggested) to fight back. People have lives and ought to be enjoying their new purchases but this isn't so when you get burned.
If you really want to make the seller's life miserable (from a seller's point of view) there are sites out there, feedback forums if you will, the better business bureau that you can file formal complaints with or that you can simply vent to and people you can commiserate with. Obviously some of the people that vent on ripoffreport.com etc. are looking for a fight, but taking their accounts into consideration there must be some kernals of truth to what they say. So fight back, spread the word and feel you are doing a duty in warning people from these shady characters. Even in the day and age of e-commerce and technology there is still such a thing as word-of-mouth and it is a very powerful thing. A lot of bad sellers don't know or have never known what customer service is, they may as well assume the person sitting behind their computer deserately trying to correspond with them and get what they paid for are bots - and in any kind of service based industry, you can have the greatest products but if you don't have customer support and accountaibility you won't find yourself in business very long. Enough complaints from enough people can be enough to drive someone clear out of business and this I've seen first hand. It's more sad because it makes skeptics out of honest consumers as well as sellers. [/rant]
So you have my sympathy Dave. I'm so glad you at least got your money back but you'll never get the month back that you spent waiting and waiting with empty pockets for something that never came.

I was screwed out 200 for some turntables about 2 years ago. I paid 325 for them from xhellboyx (some cunt who lived on the Isle of Wight). I think he deregistered the day after (or maybe the day after that). Got an email a few days later from a fella who'd bought a playstation from him and had no word. After 2 weeks I put in a complaint, to be fair to ebay they investigated and I got 120 back from Paypal. They said the rest of it was due to me from the seller...but of course cos he'd conveniently deregistered got nothing else!
in the words of Mr Chem'd up...proper cunt!! (xhellboyx that is)
My only advice is don't buy anything over 100 cos you could be robbed!! Have you tried www.gemm.com Dave? I've bought stuff from stores in the US, Germany, Denmark, Spain (I think) and can't remember having any problems with them. The prices are pretty good as well.
