hello,

my name is michael stafford (mike) and i have been assigned to temporarily admin this forum, until my management gives us the green light to start working on the new forum.

we are planning a massive overhaul, because we want to be ready when the chems release their new album (planned for release in may 2007). but since this forum and it's software is very outdated, we forsee many problems to transfer all the topics to the new software. we decided that if we proceed this forum and all of it's contents will be deleted, and a new one will be set up instead from scratch.

this means that you will have to re-register to the new forum.

on a positive note: the new forum will be bigger, badder and better and more options will be available. we will also appoint at least 3 moderators to keep an eye out.

if you have any questions don't hesitate to post them in this topic, as i will be checking in at least once a week. you could also send me a pm if it's important.

thanx,

mike

Excellent :D Although, is there no way this forum could be saved somewhere? It would be such a great shame to lose all the posts everyone has posted.

will it be a double disc pls ask em. damn, why can't they put all the unreleased or rare stuff on one cd like all the other cheapskates do? i absolutely love everything they will get out, however fucked or pop i promise. r u really sure on the may date? are they?

n why can't virgin pay for a slightly more expensive forum that migrates the old posts? doesn't matter it doesnt matter.

Hey Mike!

Thanks a lot for you're help. We have a lot of Spambots attacking the board!

I'm just wondering - is there any way we could save this board ?!

Some of us are VERY attached to some of the threads here !!

And one more thing - if it's not possible to save this board , let us know in advance when the new board will come - that way we can copy paste some of the gig reviews into memory storage!

Lets think of solutions to save some of the threads people!

Who would wanna mis Buzzed Posting ?! :'(

This thread should have been called "Good and bad news" . . . It's great that the management decided to relaunch the chems forum but nobody can tell me in a high tech world like ours that our posts can't be saved or even transfered onto the new forum... There must be a way, really!

Maybe this time they write their own forum instead of using existing software.

Thanks Mike, this is cool news. Please let us know if you need betatesters for the new forum asap! :D

Also, just wondering how come it doesn't say "Site Admin" in your profile like it does for the original Admin?

Sorry but it's hard not be suspicious on here where anybody can sign up as "forum admin" or whatever, especially when we need one the most.

If making a new forum means getting rid of the old threads then imho it's not worth it.

By the way Michael Stafford, give me one good reason I should believe in you.... }:-@
