X-D Always happy to demonstrate the mad skill of opening a cd and peeling the annoying sticker off the top!!

The best way to get those annoying stickers off is this:

After you've taken off the outer wrap of the cd, locate the spine of the jewel case (left hand side.) Gently lift up the bottom left corner of the spine so the nubby socket disengages from the little hole on the bottom half of the case.

Flip the top half (cover) of the jewel case up and over - so that you're opening the case vertically rather than horizontally - and you'll notice the annoying sticker is holding both halves of the case together. Holding the cover and bottom of the jewel case, use a tearing motion to seperate both halves. The sticker will pull right up and you won'tt get that irritating goo that gets stuck on your fingers and all over the cd case.

But since you've already gotten the sticker part taken care of, the best thing to get off the residue is Simple Green or this toxic smelling stuff called Goo Gone.

Sorry, but i believe this is a bit more delicate of a situation. In fact, i dont think i can apply a bit of what youve said to this. These are two singles that come in those paper, pocket-cases. No replaceable jewel cases here. To make things worse, this is a paper-aluminum sticker put on it by the store (if it were an official one, id probably leave it) thats divided into a lot (6 or so) of little curvy lines that combine to make the sticker (i hope you know what im talking about, somewhat). These things come in half like 100% of the time when you try to take them off the normal way, leaving you with a bit of aluminum, and a lot of paper under what you just took off. They have also taken a very small bit of the print on the case off, when i tried to take one of them off (i still have 1.5 stickers left to take off). Also with the stuff youre recommending to take off the glue, im not sure these cases are even water-proof, so any kind of cleaner could do some serious damage to the artwork (half of the reason i bought the things). As you can see fellows, these are, The Stickers from Hell.

I know what you're talking about TFD, not the security sticker but a random one (like a price tag, or some other crap). It pisses me off too, you get the sticker off but it leaves a load of crap on it that near impossible to get off. I hate that.

Now hating ( Well i should be complaining cause at least i work now but still ) The fact that i have to shoot 3 days of WINTERclothes in Marseillie where its between 30-38 degrees. That , in combo with low bloodpressure , is NOT COOL.

Also hating ( well i shouldnt be complaining again cause at least i see Tom and Ed :D) the fact that i had to cancel a 3days job to see the Chems the 30st...the client only wants me if i am available 28 29 and 30...but i'm not. Hmz

Ah well.

Don't be sad Jeanie, I'm at the point where if I had the chance to see the Chems again, I'd quit my job and never look back.

I hated my job today, and it just brings me down more since I've gotten no bites on my applications and resume submissions. Plus I'm still waiting on to hear back from that display artist position that I was told a million other people applied for.

Thanks Jeanie, you're my own little Dutch cheerleader! 8)

I don't think I'm going to get that display artist job I wanted - but there are other options out there for me, there has to be. These things happen for a reason. I just need to be a bit more creative and industrious in looking for the right position. I have a couple of ideas - I'd like to stay in the field of display artistry or visual merchandising because it's what I do best. But at this point in my life I can't work for pennies, I need to make a decent living as well. Now's a hard time - college is out and lots of people are competing for jobs.

Foxboy, I currently work as a visual merchandiser (in title only, I'm really a once-a-month poster jockey at this point and a clerk the rest of the time) for a Tower Records store. Used to be a display artist there and I loved it, even though the pay was terrible.

I dont officically live in Chicago but actually a western suburb.......there is absolutely no mom and pops record stores in my area, it totally blows...all we got is best buy, circuit city, borders, and barnes and noble....never do they have anything i want........however i did find my galvanize single at borders
