Rodrigo Y Gabriela. Spanish Guitars with beat rhythm infuences
Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobious PIP. Europeans might be overloaded by them but no one knows who they are over on this side of the pond. Loved them at Fuji Rock. Electro-ish UK Hip Hop

Certainly not a new recommendation, but a recommendation which I took up on about a year and a half late from the old music recommendation thread.... I finally got The Knife's "Silent Shout". It's pretty good. A nice blend of Dark, Acidy, Electro-Pop. There is one song that stands way out from the others on the album and thats the song "Marble House". I would best describe it as the best song Bjork never made. It's not really clear to me about what the song is all about, and the makers of the song have also admitted that they're not so sure themselves. I have an outside guess it might have to do with something with secret love between siblings, which, Ironically, the band consists of brother and sister...
Here is 1 of 2 music videos they made for the song:

Not thrilled with the live version, however. Too stripped.

got the new bloc party intimacy - halfway through and really liking it. isnt as gripping as a night in the city - first listen, but i think i'll really grow to like it - a bit self indulgent again!

Jack,
Get these:
[addimage]http://www.plong.com...%20Versions.jpg[/addimage]
Soulwax 'Nite Versions'
[addimage]http://www.plong.com...inute%20Now.jpg[/addimage]
Soulwax- 'Any Minute Now'
and if you enjoy those, then you should get this:
[addimage]http://musicblock.ru/_nw/8/91637.jpg[/addimage]
Soulwax 'Most of the Remixes...'
And if you really start to like them, go for the DVD they just put out 'Part of the Weekend Never Dies'
And just so you know, the Pink album (Nite Versions) is basically a full mixed album of the Grey album (Any Minute Now). However, I enjoy Nite Versions more, but Any Minute Now is nice to hear since you get to hear the tunes in untouched/mixed form. Fun stuff.
