gig was epic. Intro was a very chilled, nice underwater visuals, all very euphoric. The further tracks were awesome but i recommend earplugs if you actually want to hear them- i was getting so much buzz that i couldn't even hear the vocals on swoon. maybe that was just my ears tho...
No star guitar and no surface to air... but some great classics. lasted about 1 hour 50 mins including a short break in the middle.

*(please note this post contains spoilers....not for lost....but for the roundhouse shows!!!)
FURTHER!
1. snow
2. escape velocity
3. another world
4. dissolve
5. horse power
6. swoon
7. k+d+b
8. wonders of the deep
Tomorrow never knows makes its return as the intro!
1: a trippy psychadelic beautiful swaying intro, that lifts you up and shoots you towards escape velocity on a cloud of dry ice (show spoiler!)
2: we know this tune is epic, but live...god its big....bassy fat kick you in the face...
3: to put it simply....the best song ive ever heard from the chems....its incredible. it slowly brings you up, punches you in the gut, lets you down then does it again. an amazing mind meld of synths
4: hmmm well i was recoverying from another world, so ill pay attention tomorrow night!
5: dirty, beaty, bassy unrelenting. reminds me of it doesnt matter....amazing tune
6: absolutely amazing live, big build ups and big beats.
7: at first listen, not my favorite, but its a grower...its the part of the album where we're coming back down to land...
8: absolutely amazing. i knew it would be....big build up, amazing visuals, and just keeps on bursting back into the tune when you think theres nothing left.
not the best review i know, but i wasnt listening with the intent of remembering.
verdict on a first listen of further.......one of the best albums of the last 15 years, with out a doubt. absolutely stunning. what any chems fan should want from a chems record.
and now onto the second part of the show....
THE SET!!!
no there may be some holes in what i remember in the middle, cause it went off!
HBHG
Theses chemicals vocal sample they use in the dj set
part of it doesnt matter into under the influence
Out of control
setting sun (with full vocal samples, first time ive heard it done live)
acidchildren vocal sample
saturate
saturate/believe
believe vocal over beats(sounded a bit like brb?)
elektrobank outro
chemical beats
LOVE IS ALL!
it was an amazing 45 min or so set, personally my ideal set. taking all the greatest bits from previous sets. the place went off. it was amzing. chemical beats and setting sun were highlights for me. all the tracks were stretched out with huge synth and frequency noises mashed into them like a dying moog being beaten to its last breath!
great set, they really looked like they enjoyed it, really enjoyed it!
and finally the visuals....
that screen is STUPID big! i mean its huge!!! it takes up nearly the whole roundhouse length ways, and it looks amazing. they have strobes and led lights behind it, so it gives a 3d effect, its a stunning set up.
going to try to upload a couple of vids to youtube and ill post here, but the net connection aint great so it may take a year!!
EDIT, just watched the vids, my poor iPhone couldnt handle the bass!!!!!
Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

I would expect (i.e. hope) so. That seems to be a good way to go in my opinion. Every night they play Further in its entirety, then a little set of favorites.
My opinions:
Setting Sun makes a comeback 6 years in the making! May I ask what kind of visuals they used (if I'm right they used the classic "demented flock of seagulls" visuals on its last few appearances during 2004, but since those seem to have been hijacked by K+D+B I would expect they'd have something new).
Saturate seems to be We Are The Night's representative for future tours. Although I'm sure that some other good tracks from that album will be popping up on future night (Das Spiegel PLEASE!!!)
Also, I'm pretty sure (though desperately hoping I'm wrong) that they only used the beats from Elektrobank, not the entire song. The same appearance that it's made on every tour since Surrender...
EDIT: First video of the show is up on YouTube! It's the "Love Is All" outro. Warning: contains excessive levels of head-scratching!

I'm so excited for this album - Tom and Ed, the show, the energy, the fans - it's going to be a magnificent summer.
The ease in which to communicate, the dynamic overall is awesome. I really like the tweets in the community too. Even the sour puss ones. Being at the gig would have been the ultimate but I am grateful for being here to see it through your guys' words and pictures. Seriously. You all. Thank you.
Now we must prepare for Round2:House
