Chemical Combine

I noticed that some people have been posting some of their own chem's mix's. I was thinking that it might be cool/fun to have a mix-off or something. Everyone that's capable of spining out a set of all chem's stuff could "compete". What do you guys think about this? Do you think we should setup some guide lines/ rules that we should all follow? (no external samples, sythn's, I'm not saying I want these but they are possible rules we could instill) I've always wanted to do this, and I thought that it would be interesting to see everyone's different styles. Post up on your thoughts about doing this.

don't think there should be any rules, as long as it's 100% chemical brothers music.
i dont have a problem with any post production
IMHO all mixes should be made available via streaming real audio so we don't upset any record companies
So you're ok with having other artists' remix's of the Chem's music in the sets?

I made one mix onto CD a while ago that I love and listen to a lot... The track listings is:
Come With US
Leave Home
Block Rockin Beats
Song to the Siren
Enjoyed
Electrobank/It Began in Afrika
Ebw 6/ Hoops
Studio K/Sunshine Underground
Star Guitar
The Test
My Elastic Eye (personal remix)
The Private Psychedelic Reel
I made one like a year ago and use every chems song up to date and it was like 3.5 hours (some were missing) but for the most part wasn't impressive, this set has shit loads of alterations, biggest being elastic eye, and loads of alterations (such as for over a minute having a cross of it began (the ending before base 6 on the album with ebw 6). I have a 56k so this might take a while, if anyone could tell me where to post this I'd be down, and love to hear what others have done

Same here. i have 56K modem and it totally sucks. Anyone has any suggestions of how we can put out large or small mp3 files for that matter on the net. I would love to hear what Biff has done and all of you here. But we need to find some way.................
How big are the files? You could maybe send it to me over IRC,AIM, or something and I could maybe host it.

I'm thinkin mp3 in some lower form is the way to go
Yeah, I think that he was going to publish the mix's on mp3 format but was wondering how he was going to host them. If you are going to send them to me, I think we should do it at a high bit rate so we ensure high quality and then if we need to shrink it to host it, do so then.

crap i just got an idea right after sending the bloody thing, a lot of computers come with internet page software... why don't we just use those with the free internet servers (ie tripod ) to post our mix(s) and just put the links on the forum
Those types of Free internet hosters ussually screen, if not block, mp3's that you upload to them. Seeing as all of the material we're going to need hosting is copy righted, I don't think it will last long on any free server.

Hey but we just want to hear it once and can maybe just download it from the website.
Thanx ElectronicBattleWarrior for giving me that offer. I will drop a message when my song it ready. It's like just 5 minutes long and is about 5.00 MB so...not that much. What about your mix ? When can we hear that ? I would love see what other people have done.

Well, this could take time and money, but you could burn em on CD and send them to c-Row or me.... whichever is cheaper shipping cost.
