There have been many bands that cover Chemical Brothers material and make it their own. I have always wondered what band would do the best job cover what song. Now, I have finally found out the best combination ever!

Les Claypool (Fancy Band) covering Battle Scars.

It is absolutly perfect! I think Les has gotta incorperate that song into his set! His band could play all the parts. They even got a xylophone player! It would sound great. I guess its hard to explain what i'm imagining in my mind. Maybe some of you know what i'm talking about. :S

Hmm. I never gave a whole lot of thought on what bands would be good at covering the Chems.

I did mention in the past that it would be funny if there was a blue grass style (a la Pickin' On series) cover of one of the Chems more epic tunes. Not because it would be cool necessarily, but because I think it would be amusing to hear some dueling banjos and some fiddles covering... oh, I don't know... The Private Psychadelic Reel. Or Saturate. Just to see how all those textures and melodies within the tunes could be pulled off.

We're still waiting on irishfan's EBW 8 karaoke. ;)

Sort of veering off topic. Have you heard of the Langley School Project covering David Bowie, prochem? Now something like that would be weird in the Chemical Brothers context.

I would have liked to seen the Flaming Lips live when they were still playing their cover of "Golden Path"...

gave his mop a chop,
Old man hairstyles are a flop.

You've created a thread talking about a song, but I can't hear it. Where is it? Not posting links is just plain lazy
