One thing that I do not believe has ever really been talked about is what albums everyone out there has and enjoys by people who have done songs with the chems.

For me personally, I only own albums by Beth Orton, Mazzy Star, New Order, Mercury Rev, and the Flaming lips. Of those I'd say the ones that get the most play are Beth Orton's Trailer Park, Mazzy Star's So Tonight I Might See, and New Order's BBC Radio 1 Live. I have all of Mazzy Star's albums along with Beth Orton's and can say that if you like one then you'll like them all.

Among all the chem-related albums, I don't think you could compare any of the artist to the others, they're all really different. Anyway, what's everone's favorites?[/list]

Richard Ashcroft, Beth Orton and New Order - and I really enjoy all of them. Although of these, I would say that Beth is my favorite artist.

Hope Sandovall did the vocals for Asleep from Day, she was the singer for Mazzy Star, nice voice me thinks. She did an album a year or two ago with another band which is a great one too

Hmm. Let's see. First and foremost, I have all the Verve and Richard Ashcroft records - A Storm in Heaven being one of my alltime favorite Verve (and record collection) desert island pics hands down. I also have on my shelf: Oasis, Mazzy Star, Beth Orton, New Order, Flaming Lips, but I don't have any Mercury Rev which is a shame, I know.

How about artists they've remixed? The ones that pop into my head this early in the morning without being fully caffeinated are Spiritualized, Primal Scream, Charlatans... oh god, I know I have more but seriously. Must get caffeinated...

I got the Charlatans UK's tellin' stories yesterday (that's the one where Tom had input on 3 tracks). That's actually a really good album too.

I am a HUGE Prodigy fan. I love Beth Orthon. Tellin' stories is indeed a great album. To my opion Hope Sandovall is the biggest mistake the Chems made vocaly. And New Order "Blue Monday" is legendary. Latest Primal scream albums are really good also.
