If this is an official Chems forum, all we fans request is chip in with a line or two once in a while. A lot of forums i was part of earlier had band members' chippin in on n off, and it really got the forums swinging big time, and just makes a fan's day, month, year, life!
So dearest of all Sirs Tom Rowlands and Ed Simmons, this is a request to just give us a coupla mins or so here, once in a while, n heck we can't love u anymore, but it'd sure take this forum to new dimensions.
Maybe if we can have every member get down on their knees n pray to the mighty gods here, just maybe they'd give it a thought, n a few keys.
Also, like my topic says... PLEASE update Ask Tom n Ed!! Mighty frikkin please rock stars?

Quite a fanatical suggestion that we all pray and get down on our knees to ask the supreme beings of mind bending chemicals to come here and read our silly banter. Especially my drivel. ;) Cute suggestion though, I like that.
I agree it would be cool if they stopped by and said "hello" but how would we know it was them - I know I've been wary in the past and quite vocal and even bitchy (sorry) and accusatory when I probably shouldn't have been. It's really out of trying not to be gullible and falling for just anything. Now I just kind of let it be, because you never know. Still though, I think a "hello" would really brighten this place up.
Who knows, maybe they're just lurkers - they know we love em!

Maybe, an *admin* thingy under their handle could confirm things for fans. That's what I meant.. fans knowin it's them.. they own this forum after all don't they? N they don't have to post regularly.. but once in a while when they tell us what they think bout somethin on a thread.. it's just blow the thread away I think. :)
Like on the Strato forums, before they went all beserk, all band members' had admin or moderator ids n would just chip in a line or two or even a thread once in a while.
So is everyone with me on this? KAMMMON!

i couldn't imagine how many people would soil themselves if tom or ed came in and said 'you guys are neat people.' seems like they did some ask tom and ed questions after they finished the last album (which many might see as more important than finding out what they like to eat) and went on tour. so I say wait a while and keep an open eye for them, they're probably a little busy with the music for now, I'm sure answering questions isn't something they can get done well in 20 minutes too.

hey i'm a geezer not a geek!!
of course they were pissed at what was said about the golden path. i think ed once described it as their best collaboration ever. yet alot of people on here not only disliked it but were very cutting with there comments on it. why would they want to want to spent time on this forum when there are so many rude people here??
personally i think this forum is slightly lacking in people. i would say it doesn't have a true cross section of the bands fans.

What the hell's wrong with The Golden Path? It's one of the most beautiful chems' song since The Acid Test.. and almost as good.. just that i don't like comparing songs.
Absolutely loved the vocals n music on it, as well as the brilliant brilliant video. People gotta be really fucked not to like a song like that.

i'd rather they spent quality time on the album rather than speeking to us geeks!!
Totally agree with you.
Yes It would be cool if tom and ed stopped by the forums but think of it realistically. It isn't going to happen. If I was in their position I prolly wouldn't stop by. tom and ed are pretty famous people and sitting at a computer for a couple of hours just to read some lil old people talk seems pretty wastefull to me.

Well you never know.
On the old board, a person named Piku took on a sort of insider-tone, saying "thanks for the kind words" about Centro-Fly gigs and describing how their shows are pulled off live, stuff that people wouldn't know unless they were doing it themselves, then saying "don't ask me how I know, I just do." Not to mention the typing style (as anType said in a post, I can somehow hear him) seemed very close to the way the answers were written in Ask Tom + Ed. I reckon it could've been Tom on night baby duty, you know, killing some time after a midnight feeding or diaper change. The timing was about right, his kid was an infant at the time. ;)
Who knows.
I don't think Tom and Ed are immune to the internet, it's not like they are out of touch and chained up in a dank basement somewhere with a whip cracking over them until their next record is done. I'm sure they'd want to get some feedback on their work and their gigs, I'm sure they've read magazines that had reviews of their stuff so I don't know how this place would be any different if they wanted to come here and read our praises and criticisms. It would surprise me if they came on here and started immersing themselves in conversation, but it wouldn't surprise me if they lurked on here to read what we think about their work or their shows and stuff - that's why they were on their old mailing list. Highly doubtful they read through all the flaming on there (they did know who Frans was though! *waves*) and general silliness but they've said they like to hear it from the 'horse's mouth.'

Well, I understand how busy Tom & Ed are, especially at this point of time, when they're recording their new album... But I'm sure it's not hard to spend one day on fans' questions... They could visit Ask T+E section at least twice or thrice a year... 3 days a year, 3 out of 365... I think we're not asking too much...
hey i think maybe one per month...why they dont answer!!!!!
