That's how I feel at the moment. Might kick off with a lorazepam or two and have a nice, LONG nap in a bit.

I feel not too bad, all things considered. Think this thing might have crested and broke finally.

I'd never shat my pants before though, so it's one more thing off the life to-do list. heh.

I did it once, at work. Luckily I was sitting outside my office. I thought it was just a fart, but IT WASN"T! IT WASSSANT!!!! then I stood up, and there was that slow, warm pour down the back of my legs... dear god.

I didn't even have the warning of a potential shart. Just starting flowing. Tried to walk nonchalantly past all the produce guys and get to the washroom. Tried to get the stains out as best as possible. Hope it comes out in the wash as I love those jeans.

Ah... nice and relaxed. Listening to sirbadgealot's Salmon Dance mix and digging it something fierce. Nice one, mate.

It just occurred to be that possibly Ed is reading about me crapping myself. I'm mortified. They'll never come to Winnipeg now. :)

Oh well, I bet that Ed has experienced a few Spud-boy "Trainspotting" moments in his day.

I'm actually feeling pretty decent right now, thanks. Just very very relaxed on all that codeine. And the constipating effect of the codeine has meant no more diarrhea. Should be back to normal tomorrow, hopefully. If not, more cold water extraction.

Listening to a Justice promo DJ mix from a few months back and mistyping every second word...

Codeine. It's nature's miracle drug. Sort of, haha!

Glad to hear you're at least feeling decent. By the end of the week hopefully you'll feel right as rain and do anothe rgong show. Besides, you can't go wrecking another pair of jeans, now!

Yeah, I thought about going to a walk-in clinic and trying to get something for the pain, but then remembered I can extract 50 T#1's at a time and have a very nice, floaty afternoon and not have to sit in the doctor's office for a couple hours.

Still quite a bit itchy from the codeine though, despite the gravol I took.

The spliff I smoked was quite light on the weed. I probably scraped about 1/20 of a gram (like almost nothing) of crumbs together but got a fair bit of hash oil by soaking my pipe tube in hot water and using a paper clip to pull out the res. Coated a zigzag, wrapped around a cigarette, there we go.

Other than for Folk Fest, I don't think I've bought any weed for over two months now.

Scrapin' the barrel. You need a vaporizer (like Eric's apparatus :D )

Codeine kind of makes me a little bitchy on the comedown too, but that's because my belly feels like there's a lead balloon trapped in there (which is probably the case, hehehe)

Opiods are quite well known for causing itchiness, hence the recommendation of using dimenhydrinate (Gravol) beforehand both to potentiate the effects of the opioid and to alleviate the itchiness. But I only took two Gravol and I did take the max amount of codeine the human body can metabolize (into morphine) at one time.

(Safety note for those reading: as opioids and dimenhydrinate are both depressants, too much in the combo can lead to severe respiratory depression. Use caution, start with low doses before building up.)

Damn... thought I'd add my "confession" to the sharting but the subsequent posts have been very educational! Anyway, bad food poisoning in Spain, managed to hold it together driving to the airport, but lost it just before getting there. Threw up, then that warm feeling... And then 3 hour flight in a 737 toilet, out from both ends. Not pleasant! Lost about a stone over the next 3 days, but wish I'd known about the medicine you're on now - sounds a tad better than dioralyte!

Well, codeine is simply a painkiller of the opioid class. It's frequently combined with acetaminophen (paracetamol for you Brits). Normally it requires a prescription but here you can get it as a Tylenol #1 (acetaminophen + VERY small amount of codeine) without one. Tylenol is bad for your liver, unfortunately, and can kill you in large doses. Fortunately it's very very easy to separate the codeine out from dozens of tablets at a time (I did 50 tabs up this afternoon) and have a nice little codeine drink. Normally this is done for recreational purposes as, in high enough doses, codeine gives you a nice floaty high and can be a bit euphoric. Being sick as hell and sore all over, I took it more for therapeutic purposes, but it's still fun.

And all opioids (codeine, morphine, heroin, hydromorphone, etc.) are known to contribute to constipation. Seeing as how I've been having bad diarrhea, a bit of something to bung me up isn't that bad.

(As always, do a bit of research beforehand. I wouldn't recommend doing anything like 50 tabs at once for your first time until you're quite familiar with how to do the extraction [which is easy, but better safe than sorry].)

Dioralyte is just a fluid containing salts and sugars to replenish your body when extremely dehydrated. Won't do anything for the diarrhea itself. I had a Powerade energy drink and some cranberry juice to rehydrate with.
