That made me laugh out loud!
A quick update (been really busy)
I got the job! At the moment i'm running a modeling agency in Amsterdam. I started last week. Quite hardcore, but love it. Since i have a modeling background myself, i know what the business is all about and i can combine that with the experience i have from project management. It's quite a superficial business, but my main focus is to give the models the guidance they need and deserve ( models don't get the guidance they need, since bookers usually don't have time for that and they usually weren't models themselves....).
Besides that i set up a project - it's a project in which myself and my friend Anniek (who also used to be a model) are sharing our experiences with young, starting models. We do this in a very interactive workshop - we don't want to preach and come across as if we know it all. We do this because, as i said above, models are thrown into quite a heavy industry and they don't get the guidance they need. (I got quite good guidance, but i was only 15 when i first went to Paris!). We are trying to prepare those young girls a little bit, so they don't have unreal expectations. We had our first workshop the 3rd op september and it was a huge success. We have agencies interested in our project and it's actually really becoming quite a big thing.
So, i found out that no matter how bad your life seems to be going, life always finds a way to sort itself out, I was in a bad place a year ago, i had a burn out and i didn't know where to go in my life. I had to take a LOT of steps back, i was on social security, i really had to take some breathing space. And now i feel i'm moving into the right direction. As the saying goes: All will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Lots of love to my chemical friends.

I am saving up for a big USA roadtrip April 2013 so we should all meet up somewhere!!!
I'm so glad you got this job and that it's something that can open the doors of opportunity not just for these young girls, but for you as well. It sounds exciting to be a part of something while you were fortunate enough to get in on the ground floor. Now the only way to go is up! I know with you behind it, it will be a success!
And will bring you closer to the big 2013 road trip!

HI-FIVE
Very Happy for you Jeanie! You come a long way girlfriend! I hope your success story can rub on others who are looking for employment. Kudos to you also for mentoring the future 'Kate Moss'/ Cindy Crawford's of the world.

::laughs:: If I had the money, I would love to do it. You want to give me $60K? I'll take care of it.
In other news: JUST FOUND OUT SOULWAX IS COMING TO SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOOOOOOOOOLYYYYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!
This is the 2nd best news I could have heard (the 1st best being the Chems doing a show here, of course). Daft Punk/Simian Mobile Disco would come in third, with Underworld rounding out the group.
October is a banner f*cking month, man. Deadmau5 (again), 2ManyDJs (ON HALLOWEEN!!!), Soulwax and Amon Tobin. Hell yes. Yes. Yes.
Fuck. I have to read Con Law. <3 4 u all.

I love it ! I think it's one of my favorite subjects
Btw N.A.M.E. Festival this weekend with Chemicalmat. DJ Mehdi was supposed to play with Riton as Carte Blanche...we sure will miss him I guess Busy P and Breakbot won't be able to play either. But 2 Many DJ's should be here, as well as Gesaffelstein, Digitali5m, Discodeine, Simian Mobile Disco...
And 31st october...ATARI FUCKING TEENAGE RIOT ONCE AGAIN ! I preferred them to Motörhead, who play on the same date in the same city, it was a hard choice but I'm such a huge ATR fan !

Sweet! If you're gonna film any of it, take my advice: skip the intro, their Kids remix, and everything from Phantom onwards. Plenty of other people are gonna get that and it'll leave room for all the cool stuff in between.
(Also, if you want to get acquainted with their visuals, I have a list of all the tracks and links to footage in this Word document:

Keep in mind some of the links are time-specific, so you have to change "%23" to "#" to make them work right.)

Goose is playing!!!! >X-O F*ck.
Half of that lineup is amazing. And I like Fatboy Slim, but he doesn't quite fit with the "HARD" vibe... Who knows, though--he might end up bringing it pretty hard........
