I think I have never laughed more than to Arrested Development, when the whole family starts doing the chicken dance I was on the floor. True Blood is excellent!

I also watch Breaking Bad, Nurse Jackie, Entourage, Weeds but it is getting a bit old, plus a few good scifi's Caprica, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Stargate Universe. And for a laugh Modern Family and Community.
Further Remixed There's nothing else...

That is by the creators of The Wire isn't it? Now that you've seen The Wire, do you still stand by what you say? :P

Well it's by Michael Gondry, a hero among these parts. (ps there's a forum for films called "Films You've Seen" or something to that effect, this thread is mainly about tv programmes)

Started watching David Attenborough's Life yesterday, the 2010 documentary on nature, and OH MY FUCKING GOD it's amazing!

Also had a Jamie's American Food Revolution marathon the other day, another AMAZING series! Any American's watched it?

No. haven't seen it. I'm a bit burnt on the food shows to be honest (husband is a maje foodie) - Anthony Bourdain, Man v Food... we were watching Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen for a while. And at my mother-in-law's the freakin Food Network is always on! Maybe we'll queue up this new Food Revolution thing later on and see what's what.

On a side note one of the best things we've done in recent memory was ditch our cable tv. Don't know why we didn't do it sooner. We watch a lot of shows now on our Netflix Instant Queue or online. We've been watching some shows we missed earlier on - Battlestar Galactica which is just grim, very well done much more so than I remember the cheesy series from when I was a kid. We've also been watching Dexter and The Tudors.

It's not a cookery show as such, it's just Jamie in America telling you Americans how to eat properly. It's an incredible journey and I have nothing but respect for the man, here is Jamie's TED talk on it http://www.ted.com/t...mie_oliver.html. Over here, he's not liked very much because people think he's got a 'mockney' (fake cockney) accent and has a lisp but I admire what he's done for the schools over here. I sat and watched all 6 episodes in a row because it was so well made and genuine. Some of it may not be a suprise to you, I don't know, but the English viewer it trully is a shocking depiction of America and what they call food.

Hmmm Spartacus. Will have to check that out. If it's like the Tudors, I'm down.

If Spartacus is intriguing check out the series Rome. It was an excellent show - has one of the most brutal arena fight scenes I've ever seen. It was truly a blood bath but it was one of those scenes where even though it was gruesome, it got the adrenaline going. It was so well done.

As for the Jamie in America food show, now I am intrigued. I'm not ashamed to say it's horrific how many additives are put into our foods over here, and how overly processed it is. Even where our food comes from... I never realized how much crap is in our food until I started really paying attention to labels.

check out the trailer for it on youtube

http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2CqtNeRK_w&feature=related

really good show, first episode a bit dodgy, gets better and better. Always wanted to see rome! going mad i missed it, must just get the dvd boxset some weekend and just watch it through.

Oh and on the food thing, i hear ya, its really hard to eat well these days, pork is full of antibiotics, beef full of BSE, dont get me started on conditions in chicken farms! fruit irradiated! looks like the only thing safe to eat these days is roadkill!!

Saw a few of the episodes, but the one thing I liked about the show is that it got parents and kids to cook more at home (in which I think lacks around my area in this fast food world) You can never assume that your kids are getting the same home-cooked meals at the cafeteria like they do at home. When I'm in the city, I see alot of parents give their kids soda, chips, candy, etc, and it's like only 9 or 10am., but then again, my parents didn't feed me the best food, or the worst. Parents, but especially schools, share responsibility in the health of the kids, not just their education.

Kids shouldn't have to fight for their lives in their future due to health issues.

Diabetes and Obesity runs alot in my family history, so I've been sticking to a regular health regiment for the last 12 yrs. But I found this tidbit of info that should raise alot of eyebrows. (check the animated map)

http://www.cdc.gov/o...ata/trends.html

One more thing... I'm kind of hooked on 'The Biggest Loser'! Made me think twice about eating crap after the big workout.

I just came back from The Social Network. Great movie ! David Fincher is very good. And the actors are all great in this movie. The soundrack was awesome too (no wonder... Trent Reznor made it !)
