The last Basement is awful (Crazy Itch Radio) R&B pop crap i was expecting something better after KishKash.

Wait, Basement Jaxx released an album after Kish Kash?

Crap, I thought there were only 3, when'd this happen?

Yup. Crazy Itch Radio can be found as an advance copy almost everywhere on the 1nt4rw3b.

Neat, I forgot that Basement Jaxx was releasing something this year. So, any word on the actual release date? :?

Well yeah, but that's because the chems all of a sudden want to be popstars. PTB is a pop album.

You guys like the quotes, don't you?

PTB isn't pop, there are songs that appeal more to the radio audience than previous albums, but songs like Believe and Shake Break Bounce certainly aren't pop songs at all.

PTB is a pop album. At least 75% of the songs is pop music. Believe got that Kele Olerekekeke guy from Bloc Party, which automatically makes it a pop tune. Shake Break Bounce is used in a car commercial: pop music (although it sounds more like, yeck, r&b). The Boxer: pop, because it has Tim Burgess on it. Close Your Eyes: pop (The Magic Numbers), Hold Tight London: pop pop pop. All these songs don't have dance, but genuine song structures like the Beatles and The Charlatans. And above all: it was widely appreciated by the commerial music mass (Galvanize). Therefore: PTB is a pop album.

4. The Chemical Brothers ? Exit Planet Dust

It's a great breakbeat album, none of their other albums did this.

8. Orbital ? Orbital 2/The Brown album

I don't have a favourite album.

11. The Prodigy ? The Fat Of The Land (You've forgotten the "The")

The best album for me, and I think that it was chosen because it's clearly a big beat album.

12. Goldie - Timeless

DnB, combined with other things too.

22. Global Communication ? 76:14

Great ambient.

37. Royksopp ? Melody AM

They're both goo albums, but I think that The Understanding is better.

41. Future Sound Of London - Accelerator

No way.

It's hard to choose one of these two, but it has to be one of these, Lifeforms and Dead Cities.

42. LTJ Bukem ? Logical Progression Vol 1

Don't you love atmospheric DnB? :)

44. Pendulum ? Hold Your Colour

The new DnB.

Just great.

Since when did feminem > than daft punk and the Wu-Tang ???? 8O 8O x 100

feminem's first 2 albums are solidight with dr dre and the d12 crew but now yuck!

Wu-Tang has never been more than a gimmick act... Kung-Fu Rap Stars? It's a joke, nothing more than a gimmick to appeal to the tasteless masses.

They have about as much artistic merit as MiniKiss

Dude, none of the bands on the PTB tracks are even close to pop bands.

If there was a Britney Spears song, yes, I could agree, but Bloc Party, Tim Burgess and the Magic Numbers are so far underground in the US you'd need an oil drilling rig to find them here. Zero Radio play, not even near any charts.
