I'm a sore loser, and I am bitter. It's over. Ohio is the new Florida, and it was leaning Bush to begin with. I doubt those provisional ballots will sway in Kerry's favor. Damn, it was so close. I just don't understand how Bush can be as popular as he is when he's fucked up so royally over the past 4 years. Maybe I just don't share the same values as my fellow Americans.

Can't really say I'm that bothered, I don't live in America, therefore it won't affect me that much.
I just hope Tony Blair only has a few months left (general election in February apparently), get him out of Downing Street!
you should be bothered about america, what happens there affects the whole world, whether that is military, economically, industrally or enviromentally.
looks like the world is fucked for another 4 years. i beleive the over patriotism that is breed into americans has been used to re-elect bush. america is a great country, but all too powerful. power corrupts. bush is a dangerous man who will do nothing to make this world a safer place.
as for tony balir he'll also be re-elected, there is no serious competiton. the conservatives are fucked, howards gonna get them no where. and i can never see the liberals making themselves a serious contender.
geez, whats going on??
I'm a fuckin doughnut

i voted for kerry and all but really if you think about it he would have not made a good president, neither canadate would have made a good canadate but each stuck it out ( well only 4 more years, i was talking soemone and she said bush is going to have a price on his head and i would be suprised if someone assasinated him ) ok so its done and over with just move on if you can and please think of this
now there is a republican senate running and i am for pro choice ill be fighting to the end to keep abortion legal
also the proposal 2 issue its going to make gays stay in the closet more ( and thats not a good thing) i think they should have healthcare and the tax cuts just like a regular couple now you know what there going to do
think of this
so bob and tom ( couple)
met alice and sue ( couple)
and tboth couple are gay
so they want the health care and all
so why not one man mary the woman and vice versa
only for the healthcare and tax cut
that i think is what is going to be happining in the next year or so
marrage is a conveniance now and days
* shrug*

im amazed bush wasn't beaten by a margin
in his second term without worrying about re-election he could do some very bad things with his ridiculous religious views
most americans must really believe they are at war and afraid of a terror attack every day. this is what bush and the media have acheived.

Kerry was not a savior, but he was a light at the end of a long dark tunnel bored out by Bush & Co. He was the lesser of 2 evils as far as politicians go - yes. Politicians all have a smarmy side. But I believe he is a decent man who speaks his conscience, and it's been 2 years of lambasting against him by the high-horse-riding religious right that's worked so hard at villifying him. The election - to me - is more than just the person running for president, it's the platform, it's the entire administration backing the person. I cannot think of one issue on Bush & Co's ridiculously far right winged agenda that I can agree with all my heart and still sleep soundly at night.
There are so many issues hanging in the balance that swayed my vote to the far left bank this time around. The Supreme Court Justice issue, one hardly covered by the media, was just one of many.
Why. I am pro-choice. This is a topic I don't like talking about publically, because it's a loaded issue, and things get heated. But I'm with Nerdy on this. I will be on the front lines fighting for choice if the option is taken away. Not because I need that choice, or have ever needed that choice, and I hope to god I never ever need to make that choice - but until the USA cares about the child after it comes into this world, women need to have the right to choose. Mostly, the ones doing the choosing are women at an unfair socio-economic disadvantage. Take the choice away, and the cycle keeps churning.
It's all gone wrong, iggy. You are right. sneaker, I don't know what the fuck is going on. All I know is that I'm sick and disgusted.
And I'm getting off my soapbox now.
