the people at sonar were raving massive to dissolve. a killer live track. another world was working live too. only k+d+b and WOTD were track to chill down a bit and just do some happy dancing. you need this two tracks after this mindblowing version of horse power and EV. what they've done with EV at sonar was also groundbreaking.
and hey, after 2010 they will change their setlist. so all watch this show live and won't say it's "easy" they did some cool variatons and also some different transitions between the tracks.
FURTHER IS DIFFERENT!
and so is their 2010 show.

As igor has implied, we are the 2-3% die hard fanbase. We will always have our ideal setlist in mind. The fact is that only a few diehards will go to or care about every show that t and e put on around the world. They are presenting their material to audiences who will likely only see them once per tour, if that.
Now I am planning to see at least 2-4 of their sets this summer when they come NA side. For me as a faithful it is about reliving the live pilgramige. The fact that the show will probably be a minimal concern compared to the chance to share the experience with some of you again, or for the first time. Having the chance to experience it in multiple settings also creates totally different experiences (outside, inside, different cities).

I definitely think playing an entire album live isn't a bad thing at all, even Primal Scream are set to play their Screamadelica album in its entirty live later this year. I'm sure after a few months they'll jumble the setlist about and resort back to a more standard shuffled selection of songs.

I love Further but I really think it would be better to mix its tracks with old stuff in order to have ONE show, and not 2 mini-shows.

Opinions are fine n'all and it's nice to want stuff - but this thread changes absolutely nothing. The Chems are putting on a show, they aren't some world traveling piano bar taking song requests. I'm surprised Ed dignified this thread with his presence. At this point the topic is beating a dead horse.
Just let it go and don't think too hard about stuff you can't change and can't control. Just try and have fun at the show. You know they'll make it great no matter what they play.

Excuse me Ed, but I think you should consider taking the feedbacks as advice for the forthcoming tour. Of course you, along with Tom, are the boss, and therefore you decide, but fans' opinion is important too !
The show would be more chemical if Further were mixed with the old stuff IMO.

I think people complaining about, whatever it is that seems to bother them should take a step back, realise that you get to see two guys you
obviously admire and look up to in front of you doing what they do best. You complain now, but when you walk out of the shows when they come around, you will be smiling.
If you are going to whinge about what Ed and Tom do or do not play before the show, do them, yourselves and me a favour and just quit right now. Let someone else who would be so much more grateful go and have a wonderful evening.

Thus, we would like the shows to be as close as possible to 100 % good. Do you understand ? That's the reason why we don't prevent ourselves form underlining the negative points.
It's incredible how, each time someone complains about something with the chems, everyone responds by "you hate the chems, so get the fuck outta here !". I'm sorry but I think we can express our disappointments.

Comment once you've read the book, seen the film, listened to the album etc etc.
The bad side of internet forums. Opinions for the sake of it. etc blah
I'm not even sure why I'm replying; it's depressing me slightly.

I can't fully explain my feeling due to the language barrier and the fact I'm writing on my phone, but some people here are stupid. We all love the same music, but some people don't hesitate to say things like "shut the fuck up" or "get out" just because we don't have same expectation... Stupid... If a band playing live during 1 year the same track, in the same order of the album and similar to the album is a "fucking great conceptual experience" for you, it's ok. But don't treat like badass people who are waiting for more by Tom & Ed. I'm asking myself in which category real fans are...
Calm down
