I agree it'll be nice to have a quote option, too - that'll probably come in due time.
I'm not too bothered by the post counter either, to be honest. If anyone wants to know how long a person's been here then it's easy to check the member's profile.
I am still happy that all the content from the old forum was transferred over... and no spam!

But i'm wondering why the edit button works just for recent posts. Posts that are older than an hour or something can't be changed.

i agree with Martin2006, now we don't have as many 3 letter posts. As for the edit button, i haven't had that problem that Csar mentioned. Like I said earlier, they will probably fix the problems with the forum soon. Im still figuring out how to quote!

I think that it is quite common for some messageboards to have the edit function available for only a short amount of time per post. It could just be the way it is here. I can understand making a quick edit after you replied, but it doesn't really make sense to go back and edit after your post has been up for a long time. What's done is done, I suppose. Buzzed posting is solid proof of that. :lol:

I just thought of something - with the youtube bonanza taking form in the other threads, maybe a place can be added to the site that will allow youtube/flickr from previous gigs?

I have over 4200 posts, and every one was worth reading to someone.
Post counters are good, but a ranking system, maybe peer reviewed, a 'Rate This Post' button would work also. Newbies need a quick way to know who's a member of a forum and who's just passing through.
In that little altercation with the troll, if rita had realized he was arguing with over 15,000 combined posts, he would have quit sooner.

Ooops, looks like that is already taken care of by the site designers - uploading youtube/pics for previous gigs can be done in the Chronicles portion of the site (under Live)
