ahahha speedcore, i laugh at thee. I can always count on a good laugh when I listen to some speedcore.

I think the idea behind the forum cd is cool but I don't know if any of our music, myself included, would be really good enough for a cd. whatever, I'll see if i can bust out all my old equipment and software (maybe even collaberate with another guy i know who's into making electronic music) and see what i can create.

192kbps seems fair. 120-140bpm, or is that too large of a gap?

Ultimately, it's up to sneaker on the range of tempo, but personally when I'm mixing I don't use songs that are more than 4-5 bpm different. The songs sound too weird beyond that, the pitch-shifting sounds crap

we can always time shrink a song if the bpm is too off. There are other ways besides pitching to change the bpm!

bpms are not an issue. i think on my respect your brothers vol 2 i went through a 15bpm difference from start to finish. i dont think its at all noticable. its just how clever you are going about it!!!
I'm a fuckin doughnut

Excellent because all the bmps in my tracks are iffy as hell.

or you could just do what the brothers do alot of the times when they want to jump between two tracks that have a big bpm different, end the song with a psycadelic echo outro and then fade in the new song.

haha anyone ever notice that? look for it when they play.

Yeah, like in Song To The Siren, either live, or on EPD. It goes from 111 to 122 on EPD, and 111 to 130+ live!

If you can do it sneaker, then that's cool! Being as this is 'home-made', if I send you the track sneaker, and you want some bits different for the mix, I'll be happy to edit it just for the mix. It would be cool to have 2 versions of one song - the full and the forum edit! 8)

This CD could well be the coolest thing, well, not in the whole of next year but it'll be pretty close! :D

Count me in on this idea. I'm inspired! I'm working on a 120bpm track that would be perfect, but any other tempo is fine too.

They do that in their dj sets (particularly near the end of 'confront...')/live sets don't they? Slowing things right down/fading out. It's clever 8) .

How's everyone getting on then?

I've got the first parts recorded now, but I'm still a long way off.

Still, the deadline's a long way off too 8)

I thought it's off. Damn.

Where did you get the idea that this would be off?

I plan to make a track for this, but I haven't started it yet and I'm going to finish another track first. I promise to get a track done for this collaboration.

Yes, with a little over a month to go before the deadline, I thought I'd check who's still in. Hopefully there are still enough people in to make this CD, how's everyone getting on? I've done a load of recording, but haven't started putting it together yet. The pressure is on!!
