hahaha, cheers! I just get bored a lot and, as wide and varied a place as the internet is, I find myself on Erowid an awful lot...

Erowid is a great site. I like reading the personal accounts, both good and bad. I feel the best way to know about something of this nature is to talk to people, and if you can't talk to people then you go searching and read about peoples' experiences. I feel it can keep a person grounded if they know the good bad and the ugly beforehand.



Darkstar, you'll want to avoid booze for a number of hours before ingesting shrooms, especially since you're going to be taking them with ecstasy. You may be young and can maintain exceedingly well but you're still putting your body through the ringer. It's just safer to abstain from copius amounts of booze in my opinion (or as safe as one can be given the situation). You certainly don't want to be hammered at any part of the day you are doing them. a couple of beers shouldn't hurt 6 or 4 hours before, but save your strength for the new experience. Water is your friend!

I'm really good with the whole water thing; I'm usually the one who makes sure EVERYONE stays hydrated. And yeah, just wanted to make sure if I had a couple beers earlier in the evening it wouldn't be a problem. Be doing most of my serious drinking the two days beforehand. Although I'm not even sure how much drinking I'll be doing since I think I'm buying a quarter of weed.... Ah well, if deciding which way to get twatted is the most serious decision I have to make, life is good. :)

I'm going to spend the upcoming 4 day weekend alternating between laying on the beach so fucked up that I look like a dead sea lion, and crawling through ever bar in Laguna Beach.



Note to self: Get some reggae music.

Aw man, I can't believe we're getting the NYE hype in June, but I feel it so much. I'm taking on recrutis at this point, I think. I will make this happen.



Tonight was a solid night out. Mod Night was everything the hype led me to believe. Absolutely packed house, ran into a bunch of peeps I haven't seen in a while. Unfortunately the ECamp was feeling a bit ill so we had to take her home a bit ahead of schedule, but had a really great time and a good talk with the HeatCamp afterwards.

We do need to come up with a plan though. stash and I both agree that if there's nothing going on Chemical wise for New Year's then that's cool, we'll go to the UK another time when it's cheaper to go. But soon it'll be 5 months, then 4 months, then 3 months away. It's very costly for 3 people to travel to the UK over New Years' and we need to lay out the game rules. After our last trip to the UK we promised our son we wouldn't go without him and we can't just say, "sorry buddy, we're going without you" it would crush him. And we'd need to figure out what to do with him on New Year's Eve. We're going to try and convince my mom to go with us but that all depends on my dad's health.

Mojito

Ingredients:

2-3 oz Light rum

Juice of 1 Lime (1 oz)

2 tsp Sugar

2-4 Mint sprigs

Soda water

Mixing instructions:

Lightly muddle the mint and sugar with a splash of soda water in a mixing glass until the sugar dissolve and you smell the mint. Squeeze the lime into the glass, add rum and shake with ice. Strain over cracked ice in a highball glass. Top with soda water, garnish with mint sprig and serve.
