Oh well, what a waste of time that was. I was "muttleycruise" over there btw, couldn't register as Tyler.
Still, the album is officially out now and all is well with the world. Think I'll just go chill to Surface To Air.

I'm registered on there now. The chat is on at 6.30pm Aussie time, which is 10 hours ahead of GMT, so that would translate to 8.30am GMT?
Oooh, this is my first post on here btw. :)
Heya Tyler, welcome to our corner of the fucked up universe. :P
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

I'm glad somebody did. My "what the hell do I ask them?" phobia suddenly turned into sheer frustration of mountainous proportions, which further hampered my ability to forumulate a halfway decent question.
Tyler, sounds like a plan. I think I'll chill out with Surface to Air, too.

I managed to log in under a mate's username, but none of my questions were answered :(. I think when you typed a question it went through to the moderator who then passed on appropriate questions to Ed. Problem was, most people were asking boring questions that are asked in pretty much all interviews!
Cept one guy who asked if they could play Morning Lemon at their gig in Sydney. Ed said the files were in London, but also added that it's actually Tom that says "morning lemon" at the start 8)

Aw, Afro... I'm sorry none of your questions were answered. Even after the hassle of logging in, then not having your question answered...
Well, just hang out here, maybe Ed will pop in here in the near future!

Thanks for the welcome, whirly. :)
Should have joined years ago but I'm here at last. Looking forward to seeing them again soon on 11 March.
The question I would have asked them would be something along the lines of: "With Orbital having retired and Faithless expected to play their farewell gig at Glastonbury, certain music journals are keen to say electronic dance music is dying. What do you see as the future of the genre?"

Orbital and Faithless dead? :'(
Orbital are just resting, I hope. When they released the Blue Album, they said their gig at last year's Glastonbury (which I saw, along with the Chems set on the Friday) would be their last one. Basically they said they'd been doing it for long enough and it was just time to move on and pursue new projects.
They did do a couple more dates after that, one at T in the Park (which I also saw and was a better performance IMO), one at a Japanese festival and then a live session for John Peel (a hugely respected radio DJ here in Britain, now sadly deceased). But then it was officially over.
I saw Phil Hartnoll doing a DJ set at a NYE event in Manchester, where he was wearing the Orbital headtorches, playing some of their best mixes and generally whipping up the same party atmosphere that they got live, so I'm hoping they'll get bored of NOT doing Orbital gigs after a while and make a comeback.
I heard about Faithless from someone who's got a pretty good track record on this sort of gossip, so I'm presuming it's true. There was also gossip about Underworld calling it a day after their next album, but I think that's just speculation because of all the "dance is dead" crap going around.
