on a side note, those tracks will not work live! they are emotinal headphone tracks which are painfully introverted.

I wonder if Beth has ever performed these songs live, though. (Not a live Chems/Beth collaboration, but just Beth).

I've never seen the lovely Ms. Orton live but an acoustic version of Alive Alone would sound nice.

She has performed The State We're In, and that track The Chems produced on her album.

not on the dancefloor, no way. Maybe one could slow dance to it or like dirty dancing style.

Yep, right after she released 'Daybreaker'.

Good show. She played an acoustic version of The State Were in, and later also 'Daybreaker' in a traditional pop song way. Wish I had these songs live, because it sounded brilliant.

me and the mrs went to see her live earlier in the year in brighton....christ was it this year or last....no it was this year

she was presenting a brit award earlier in the evening, the awards ran late and then she got stuck on the motorway travelling down from london to brighton....

the gig ran very late and a fair few people left but it was worth it when she finally got on stage. brilliant songs, wicked voice and she seems like a genuinely lovely person...we were right up the front and there was a wicked vibe - she was bantering with the crowd about being late.

she came back on and played an encore of requests...people just shouted out a track and she played it solo acoustic. I remember people asking for one of her earlier tracks and her saying "fuck I can't remember how to play that....er hang on..."

one of the best gigs we've been to in a while

beth orton is house :D

Right on, thanks for the heads up Slipvin and Chebbers. It's great that she puts on such good shows, I would like to hear some live material. She seems so down to earth.

I wish I could have gone to see her when she played in L.A.. She was playing a nice intimate venue, but I couldn't make arrangements to go on a weeknight.
