How does Youtube pick featured videos?

Featured Videos will be primarily populated with videos from YouTube's thousands of partners, but might also include select user videos that are currently popular or that we have previously showcased in Spotlight Videos. YouTube will automatically rotate these videos throughout the day to keep them fresh. Featured Videos are not advertisements or paid placements, but do feature content from partners with whom YouTube has a commercial relationship.

Working for the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) last semester I am absolutely familiar with this.

It's unlikely, currently, that legislators will find the "middle ground" that will allow everyone to be happy. At least SOPA and PIPA will likely be shelved for the moment.

Wow. Things just got real. Megaupload.com and all of its branches (Megavideo etc) were shut down by the feds today on piracy grounds.

I just read about this, yeah--pretty crazy.

Anonymous has taken down a bunch of sites in retaliation, including the RIAA/MPAA sites, DOJ/FBI sites, copyright.gov, etc.

I think this is going to become an "internet war".

justic.gov, riaa.com & universalmusic.com are still down

Partly explains why the site was down yesterday. Chems are part of Virgin, which is part of EMI, which is now a joint venture of Universal.

New Order confirmed for Exit Festival.
I can't wait to see the band who has had probably the biggest influence on The Chems.

I remember reading that they can't use New order name without Hook. Guess they finally made some kind of deal...
