I've been wondering about it for some time and now I want to share this doubt with you: how do you think the chems come up with song titles, especially if there are no lyrics they can use for titling? For instance: burst generator, saturate, the sunshine underground, marvo ging, hoops, chico's groove, etc...sometimes I can see the reason why (saturate: that sound really saturates your ears!), but sometimes i don't (hoops?? my elastic eye??).

Ed sometimes sees a green tiny elf on Tom's shoulder, and that elf talks to him, and comes up with every titles.

Tom doesn't know that though

Elf: "Name that song Marvo Ging"

Ed: "Why? That's a weird name"

Elf: "Gingooooo gingo-lo-ba"

The name Marvo Ging came from the name of a friend of Tom and Ed's. When the friend was a kid he used to do magic tricks and had a 'stage name' of Marvo Ging. Or so I heard.

Hoops - my guess is the vocal sample inspired the name.

I think someone asked that "where do you get the song titles from" in one of those Ask Tom & Ed features from a few years ago. Their reply was something along the lines of just using their imagination and asking their friends.

But I like the little green elf theory.

A few of the track names I know are references to some Beatles songs.... eg "The Diamond Sky".

But when all else fails it's Ed vs the Elf
