Anyone else like Casu Marzu? I think it is probably my favorite song off the album--the only part that I don't like is the very beginning, but then it turns into this bizarre, off-kilter grinding-thing.

PS. Here is a pic of real casu marzu sans maggots *shudder*

Anyone hear SMD's new album yet? I've heard the bonus tracks (Nibiru + Supermoon), Seraphim and Cerulean.

Supermoon and Cerulean have been fantastic listens for me. I was a huge fan of Clock (especially live), and these two tracks, especially Supermoon, remind me of Clock quite a bit.

I don't love Seraphim, but I do like it, and the acid production on the track is ace.

Oh! I almost forgot about Put Your Hands Together. F*cking love that track, too. A+

Anyway--check these out if you haven't yet:

Supermoon

Cerulean

The new album is already out there on the internets. There are a few great tracks (I waited for You, A Species out of Control, Interference), plus the 3 we already knew, but the other tracks aren't really my cup of tea.

I think it's better than Temporary Pleasure (minus Disc 2), but yeah, after hearing the rest of the album, it's not their strongest work.

Nonetheless, I still really dig half the album with two thumbs up. Put Your Hands Together, Cerulean, Supermoon and I Waited for You are fantastic listens for me. Seraphim has some great production on it, but it's just okay for me.

I'll have to see how things sound on the dancefloor--I'll be interested to see what they end up playing during their DJ set here next month. I'm sad that they're not doing a live tour right now. I wonder if they're trying to rework a completely new set and see what works best...

Some of the tracks on Delicacies sounded AMAZING on the dancefloor at 2 a.m. Much better than simply listening on its own.
