Great show but what the hell was happenin with everyone ?Think there was only a few people who werent off their tits on pills or coke !! The mens bogs were completely overrun with queues of lads clearly tryin to get in the cubicles to do their lines. Is this what music has come to ? Cant have a good time without being off on one ? Have been to loads of gigs lately and not one had the ladish atmosphere that this had. Enjoyed the gig but next time think Ill wear a t-shirt saying "Fuck Off I Dont Sell Drugs" to stop keep gettin asked by morons wantin pills.

Have to admit, it wasn't the best I have seen em this year but I think it was partly down to the sound system in the Academy - not great!!
Was stood at the back behind the large bar that runs through the middle. The Chems came out to Tomorrow Never Knows and the link into Hey Boy seemed to fail on it arse - Ed seemed to be running around helping Tom sort it out. The sound was awful so me and mate decided to get down near the front. usually I am near the front but I wanted to take it easy a bit on Thursday, stand back and enjoy the visuals. The large plasma screens, the lights from the bar, the cigerette machine and back lit posters to the right and the dodgy sound meant we were gonna have to spend the night at the front dancing it up!!
What was the tune they played at the end with the visuals HOLD TIGHT NEWCASTLE??? Certainly wasn't Hold Tight London - it sounded chuffin awful!! Maybe I need to hear the couple of new tracks they played a few more times - because like I said, the sound system didn't do them justice. If they are new track they are going to bring out then I was't too impressed.
Anyway, they were better than Prodigy last week in Manchester so all in all it wasn't a bad night. 4th time I've seen Tom & Ed this year so I've been spoilt a bit!! ;-)

I've just been reading some other reviews about the Newcastle gig and it appears I've been a bit harsh on the old Bros!!
To me it sounded like the intro to HBHG got screwed up a bit but everyone else seems to be in the opinion its a new, fresher beginining - so I'll keep my mouth shut!! :-//
Maybe I'm just too much in love with the usual Tomorrow Never Knows/Hey Boy opening - need to hear the new version another couple of times before I make my mind up.
Yeah, Digital was brilliant as usual afterwards. Did anyone go to see The Stanton Warriors there on the Friday night?? Totally awesome!!!!
Chemical Bros Thursday night, Stanton Warriors Friday night, Ian Brown Saturday night - safe to say I am totally knackered now!!!!

I have to agree with some of the comments already written about the gig in Newcastle.
The sound was pretty poor in my opinion. Nothing seemed to happen after most of the breakdowns, they didnt have the impact that i would have expected.
Visually, the Chemicals were great. That clown was immense!!
The encores left me flat. The Hold on Newcastle thing - well we were holding on but nothing seemed to happen.
Overall a good night - venue was wicked apart from getting out!!
