The Chemical Brothers present Glint at Glastonbury on Friday 24th June from
3.30pm
until 12.30am in the new Dance Tent.
After ten years of memorable live shows and DJ sets The Chemical Brothers are
coming
to Worthy Farm once more and this time, to celebrate the launch of the new dance
area, they'll be bringing their legendary club night 'Glint', a very occasional
Acid House get-together of Tom, Ed and friends. For the first time 'Glint'
leaves
it's usual London home and comes to Glastonbury, where your hosts The Chemical
Brothers
will be joined on the decks by some of their favourite DJ's, including Naked
Under Leather
partner in crime Justin Robertson, long time tour DJ and Back 2 Basic's resident
James 'Boggy' Holroyd, Glint regular and vibes master Nathan Detroit and, to
warm
things up, their Vegetable Vision live visuals director and one man sound
system,
Flat Nose George. Very special live guests on the night will be Two Lone
Swordsmen,
the band formed by early Chemical Brothers champion / inspiration Andrew
Weatherall
and fellow electro fellow Keith Tenniswood. For this rare live appearance (and
Glastonbury debut)
they'll be performing songs from the highly acclaimed Warp Records album "From
The Double Gone Chapel" as a five piece band with Weatherall on vocals. One not
to be missed...
Running Order: 15.30 - 16.30 Flat Nose George 16.30 - 18.00 Nathan Detroit 18.00
- 19.30
James Holroyd 19.30 - 20.30 Two Lone Swordsmen (Live) 20.30 - 22.00 Justin
Robertson
22.00 - 00.30 The Chemical Brothers.

its been glorious weather all week in the south of england. so you got to feel a bit sorry for the punters at glastonbury today who have had a 'torrential downpour' this morning. the pictures on the news looked pretty wet.
i never done glastonbury. the idea of roughing it for a week in a field having your food stolen and using 'those toilet' just never appeled to me. i'm too clean living for that!! my sisters glastonbury experiences also put me off. i think it was 94 when they were savaged by rain and she had to come home before the music had even started at the festival. minus here tent and sleeping bag which was claimed by the mud.
i hope thats the end of the rain for the people down there.
