spot on.

I play drums, and not that I'm amazing or anything, but I know a fair bit about them and have a fairly good understanding of them.
And I take more away from Tom and Ed drum-wise than I do from most drummers, whether either of them play drums or not I'm not sure,
but I have been so much more inspired to create different beats from hearing tracks like Orange Wedge, My Elastic Eye or Shake Break Bounce.
much more interesting to listen to than "whatever the fuck/standard rock beats/solos" from drummers of Dreamtheater and the like....
Peace.

the main reason I got into the chems was drums. they are so reminiscent of john bonham's playing style - big big hits n beats.
I was into Slayer long back - the drummer if you know Slayer was the Godly Dave Lombardo - Dave quit Slayer long back (he's back now) as he was finding metal too limited and went and did a lot of very interesting stuff on his own. My best friend (we discovered the Chems together) was a kickass drummer - he used to have this book on drumming by Dave Lombardo - the last page was Dave's reccos to practice your drums along to - no. 1 on that list was the Chemical Brothers.
<The C, the H, the E, the M, the I, the C, the A, the L, the brothers! THE BROTHERS!>

Definitely there are "Snow" and "K+D+B" and the "Escape Velocity" - these are the tracks personally for me the best.. Others are a little bit too ordinary for me. Don't you think so?

Me either. Not a single part of Further is ordinary to me. If you think stuff like Another World is ordinary, I can't imagine what you'd call unique.

how wicked was it scrolling through the production stills on further to slowly have that realisation feeling of where this artwork came from? i absolutley love having to look for the detail like that. i love these dudes.
ps. i havn't heard it live(yet) but horse power makes me grind my teeth. In the day time. Driving my car.

i love that bit in the middle of swoon when the beat is taken out then put back in chopped up, and then the filtered bit after....that doesnt make much sense reading it back....you know what i mean!

i cant emphasise enough how much i love dissolve....

Your love keeps lifting me...

Defined a little more formally, "escape velocity" is the initial speed required to go from an initial point in a gravitational potential field to infinity with a residual velocity of zero, with all speeds and velocities measured with respect to the field

roll your eyes at me bitch! you said "it sounds flat". you didnt say " i dont like it" and, more importantly, i'm pretty sure that while the chemical brothers are continuing their world tour with their new album, they couldn't give a flying fuck whether you like it. thats one thing i fucking hate about the internet, it's made everyone a critic, while you're sat at home and you cant do any better.

Every few days, I fall in love with a new favorite Further track.

k+d+b has been oozing summertime lately. I was riding my bike with the fam down at the ocean over the weekend and that song kept playing over in my head.
be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle

GOD DAMN IT I JUST DON'T LIKE THIS TRACK. And it sounds flat to me as well, yeah. Period

When do people stop yelling at those who say they don't like something ?

I don't like Galvanize but when I saw them live 2 years ago, they played it anyway. Did it waste the show ? No, I enjoyed it and found it amazing. So yeah, let them play Another World, this is no problem to me, as long as they play some kicking-ass tracks as well.

This is really boring when some people want you to stop having an opinion...

i'm not stopping you having an opinion mate. the guy who started this thread started it with "favourite parts of further". why dont you start your own thread called "shittest parts of further" and you can comment all you like in there. And im pretty sure you'll be on your own. nobody asked you "what parts of further do you think are shit". honestly mate, i am the king of arguments. you cannot win x

Yep, Next month here in LA.

Good momentum building here for Further. Alot of the peeps here in this forum will be there as well, so it adds more fuel to the fire. Glad your back (shakes hand)

I noticed that everytime I watch The Further DVD from the beginning, I start tapping my feet when Dissolve starts!

KDB I think is still the one to beat!
