I know the best b-sides have been discusssed previously but I'm talking about all the chems b-sides

THE BEST PART OF (BREAKING UP)

I think this a really good complimentary song to loops of fury, howec=ver it works well on it is own but is great with loops.

GET UP OM IT LIKE THIS(SINGLE VERSION)

brillant track, the album version seems to have more energy in it cause of how short it is but overall this exceeds the original in many ways.

BUZZ TRACK

not my favorite b-side but has unique beats still funky and cool.

PRESCRIPTION BEATS

now this track I really like especially the live version mixed with loops of fury. less layers to it than normal chems tracks but still good.

MORNING LEMON

one of the chemicals finset tracks not just the b-sides love the vocal at the start as it is funny and unexpected. better song in my opionion than brb which it was released with.

NOT ANOTHER DRUGSTORE(BOTH VERSIONS)

the intro is a bit jarring at the start but really good song once it gets started. Works best in brothers gonna work it out mix.

IT DOESN'T MATTER (EBW VERSION)

just astonishing only heard this in the last week, they made one of fave songs even better.this live is really out of this world

FLASHBACK

heard this yesterday for the first time gotta say a sci-fi sound to it. bit of orbital sound in it. the sample works well and impressive track.

SCALE

Don't like this as much as others but nice track all the same

STUDIO K

nice demo track for the album, you get an insight into the progression of their tracks.good

DIAMOND SKY

Have to say really like this track another one of there great songs nice summer feeling to it which is cool

FREAK OF THE WEEK

Another b-side I adore has a night club techno feel to it. one ogf their best pure dance tracks.

ENJOYED

Another good basic track for out control. nice track all the same

HOT ACID RHYTHM

Takes two mins for this track to kick in but great track. don't think would of worked well with eve better as a instrumental

BASE 6

Class track just gets better with every listen cool samples and great beats.

OTTER ROCK

one if the best tracks on singles and love listening to it

IF YOU KLING TO ME I'LL KLONG TO YOU

KRAFTWERK feel to it whicjh is a good thing really like the build up tothe climax.

THE DUKE

another really funky song another one that gets better with every listen

DELIK

there best remix of there own song hands down. just brillant love to hear it live .

NUDE NIGHT

my absolute favourite chemical brothers track ever. love the beats and the cool vocal sample. amazing. another track love to hear live

please tom and ed play this live soon.

well there some of my thoughts what are the rest of yours on the b-sides

fuk, you went a bit mental there. The ones that stand out for me are Power Move and the Diamond Sky.

Power Move is definatly a car track that you would boom out to unsuspecting pedestrians and other passing cars at the traffic lights, turn it up!

Diamond sky (or studio K, I can't be arsed to research it) is simular to the sunshine underground which is my favourite track.

bored so I though I would give my opinion, haven't heard power move yet. studio k is the one which has the sunshine underground samples.

Power Move is the best b-side the chems have ever written in my opinion. I love the relentless bass, funky yet powerful.

Maybe one day, the Chemical Brothers will release a collective of b-sides, to go along with the Singles 93-2003.

I'm recovering from a nasty cold, so I won't type too much about all the b-sides but I will throw in a comment or two about Freak of the Week. It's one of my favorite b-sides. Since it's composed of the bits that fell off Surrender and put together sort of like a sonic puzzle, it has a sort of rawness to it which I find appealing. Plus it has that glossy production evident on Surrender which really streamlines all those put-together pieces. It all ends up being a really tasty piece of ear candy... yum.

Another b-side which is a favorite is Morning Lemon. Now that track is just slamming. But I am a little tired so I won't go into it right now. Perhaps later.

Now if you'll pardon me, I'm about to slam some cough syrup and watch some cartoons.

I hope not, there would be no point to me having bought all the singles then!

EBW3 is awesome. A lot of people say Under the influence mix 2 is best but I think the EBW version is better.

Yes. That would be coolest. Plus a collective of all their remixes... hey it's nice to dream! I'm itching to get proper version's of their remixes of The Charlatan's "Patrol" and "Nine Acre Dust". I play Patrol as damn loud as I can.

Plus their 'vocal remix' of Spiritualized "I think I'm In Love" - that's one of the best Chems tracks ever imo, huge buildup. Then there's the Manic's tracks too.

Ohhh I'd love to have those tracks on an official CD set, all in the one place... 8)

A collection of their remixes would be awesome! It would be one mother of a collective though. No way all of those mixes could fit on one disc!

I actually found the Charlatans v. The Chemical Brothers at a used record shop a few months ago. It was a lucky find! I found it the same day in the same shop along with the Spiritualized single for I Think I'm In Love. I seriously let out a little girlie shriek and did a goofy happy dance when I plucked it off the rack. I got a lot of funny looks from innocent bystanders in the shop... Anyway, the vocal remix has to be one of my favorite songs of all time, it is just so lush and gorgeous and it still gives me goosebumps when I listen to it.

Another favorite remix is Method Man "Bring the Pain." I haven't been able to locate it, I'm holding out hope that one of these days I'll be able to do another happy dance at the used record store!

bring the pain is a hard remix to find.is it really good?

more thoughts on b-sides

under the influence mix 2

prefer mix one but different kind of atmosphere to it.

LIFE IS SWEET REMIX 2

nice version quite different but really good all the same.

as for collection I would prefer a remix collection ahead of b-sides just cause the remixes are harder to get your hands on.

The Bring the Pain remix is most excellent!! I had a friend copy it for me a couple of years ago and I've been trying to get my hands on the real deal ever since. If you come across this gem, you *must* have it!
