Heya, I can't remember if this site had a list of all previous gigs or not... I last time I *might've* checked would've been months and months ago I honestly can't rememeber... X-D Also check www.planet-dust.net for possible past gigs list.

Cheers whirly, ive used that site in the past and i must say its wicked so i will have a look again.
Im very sure they have chemicalfan and it must of been in the dust brother student days.
On the dvd again if u look at the private reels section, theres a bit when they arrive in southsea and you see them by Clarence Pier, then theres a few shots of them playing in the arcade, before a shot of the solent where u can see one of the forts. Then you see them getting ready and playing the gig, it really does look like the inside of south parade pier.
I think in that section it also shows clips from when they played the old Boutique venue.
Check it out, i was amazed 2.

i never noticed that some of the private reels were from england!! its a shame that the gig list on planet dust is incomplete, nothing pre 97. which bit looks like the boutique?? the backstage graffiti walls?? the original concord was one weird venue for a club. it would have been awesome to have seen the chems there, the club was so small!!

yer thats the bit i meant sneaker the graffiti walls, ive never been to the old one, but ive seen programs about it and it looked like that and i knew they played there went BRBs went no1. Only been to concorde2 once for Boutique, thought it was ok but not my favorite venue.
Thats def southsea i think, thats where i go raveing, shame i was a bit young when the chems played there.

i think they played the boutique the time that setting sun got to #1. they were deffinately touring round then cos i saw them for the first time at brixton a couple of weeks after that!!
i've been to all 3 boutique venues i'm proud to say!! the wobbly scout hut that was the concord. the beach which had the best sound system of all the boutique clubs. i was a little disapointed with my last visit to the boutique in december. full of fuckin students!!! na joking. it just seemed like people were there cos its cool rather than cos of the music. and the music in the bar was appaling. a couple of video djs playing pop/rock/hip hop bootlegs for a hours on end. i think the original spirit of the boutique has been lost over the years. i'd love to be proved wrong. next time there is a good line up i will have to check it out

i know the chems played the temple bar music in dublin circa exit planet dust cause a friend of mine was there and afterwards was at the bar and ed asked him what he though of the gig and my friend didn't realise it was ed. also played the point in dublin in 97 with leftfield, fluke and the lionrockers

the chems started playing live in 1994. so there are 3 who years of dates missing. like all the tour dates as support for the prodigy when they were still the dust brothers. or their first international tour in 1995. or there support dates with oasis at knebworth. i'm not complaining, its just a big chunk of history missing.

Cheers sneaker, I was sure when looking at the footage that it was the pier. An old but quality venue, have had many good nights out raving there such as last night. Would love it if the chems returned to play a dj set @ Punchfunk there, apprentally according to Chris Vaux they are looking into it.
