ARGH!

Moby would have been ok for me... Oakenfold, yes... but who the hell is that indian guy ?! 8O }:-@

Now if this kind of musical junk justifies an EMA, I hereby pronounce the dead of good dance music. RIP.

Yes, I am pissed. }:-@

Gonna get a drink now. Non-alcoholic that is... ;-)

Yes, once again a pop act wins the best dance act category. I thought Kylie winning it last year was bad enough but this just takes the piss.

But then, generally, mainstream dance music in the UK this year has been complete shite (imo). All we have is boring trance music which has been ruined by the likes of Love inc and DJ Sammy. House music still sounds great but seems to be ignored by radio stations.

END OF RANT!! }:-) :x

i thought the chems had that in the bag, the nominations were very week. i totally don't rate moby or oakenfold, just leaving the 2 'one hit wonders', punjab MC and junior senior.

i mean no one would have ever of heard of the Punjab MC, but for the advertising boffins Peugeot using that track. i doubt you'll hear of them again!!

but then again it is MTV awards, it's not like a true music award. its all about 13 years old watching music videos

Ok Calm down people....i like punjabi Mc. and no he is not a one hit wonder ask any indian dude and he will tell you how his bhangra-dance fusion makes them feel on the dance floor. Well you can ask me -> Fuckin great...those bhangra beats are the ultimate beats. ( by no means better than chemical beats, ofcourse). He is just an ok artist with a lot of people behind him and other than that i don't respect him much either. Moby - he can get stomped by Obie. Moby's music has taken an interesting turn...going too much in the trance shit...Junior Senior...well i can't say anything bout him....

I'm insulted!

Thor: I've seen Chems vids on Much.
He put on a turn-down collar, a black bow, and wore his Sunday tail-coat. As such, he looked spruce, and what his clothes would not do, his instinct for making the most of his good looks would.

DJ Sammy is annoying as hell. Watered down, trance fluff caters to the lowest common denominator club slag. }:-@

Ok, my impressions..

A brief sum-up: The show sucked big time, even for MTV standards!

And here I was, watching the whole thing through just to see the Chems and Kraftwerk. The White Stripes were nice, the Chems even greater, but but but ... that was all :( . Travis had a message, but it didn't quite get through. Christina Aquilera's comment about their performance was something like this "This is my show and I want to be the one exposing most skin." Bravo. With this kind of script, no wonder the audience was only seeking Justin Timberlake or Beyonce or whatever.

And hey, the crowd was really annoying. They just went on screaming on the top of their voice through the whole show. Only Kraftwerk really got them silent for a while. A R O - D Y N A M I K ...

I bet there was so much better feeling at the open festival. Some real music played there. Although I don't hold rock bands so special, rock is very nice live. Tom jamming with the guitar, ha!

Im sick of justin timberlake. He seems to be everywere nowadays. His beatbox skills are crap, he sings like a girl, and everyone seems to love him. I didnt mind seeing christina at all :D But the whole vin diesel thing was boring. The chems live was superb, and ed playing the guitar was even better. Slow by kylie was only good because of the remix :) Kraftwerk live was the best part of the show (I dont think the crowd knew what hit them ;-) ) even though all 4 of them just stared at thier laptop, it was still great. And how did the chems lose best dance act (not like it matters, its MTV)?

Those were my general feelings.
